Also be wary of yelp reviews. Assume they are fake unless the roofer gives you several references you can visit or call yourself.

Yes, they're are bad actors in the biz, but to categorically say "say no to door knockers" is stupid. Door knocking is my mine source of new clients. I've never scammed anybody. All my customers were happy they chose me as their roofer. 🤷‍♂️
