So bad example. I have just seen part of the report of GC session 24 the committee has done a wonderful work on this and generally for SDA educational institutions globally. God Will not leave this beautiful church to be drifted apart from what He intended to be. Brother Lawrence, you are dead on with this topic. My son went to church school and was so scarred by the behavior of the children and the negligence of the staff, including the principal all the way up to the conference office. My son is now homeschooled he was so outgoing never met a stranger, very happy child. He is now withdrawn. He don’t talk to people and my husband and I are trying so hard to get him past this we had made up our mind that he would always go to church school, but God was not there. They ran him out years ago, please pray for our son and our Adventist school system.

I was in in SDA academy from 5th- 9th grade. I was never bullied in a public school ( it does happen sometimes) like I was bullied on my first 2 yrs at the SDA Academy 😔 I think as a SDA school and SDA members, we should act and treat others as Christ commends & teach our kids as so..

Ecumenism is the principle of promoting unity among the world's Christian Churches. By definition we should all be for that. But also by definition Christians are ALREADY unified. For we are either for Christ or against Him. Unity is what we will have under God when He remakes all things. Till then we should promote unity through assimilation. That is, to promote SDA principles to all others who claim Christ and show them the real truths.

Truth is Bro. Lawrence. I attended SDA schools and cultural dances and performances were part of our end of year to year round curriculum. Many of the performances were questionable, but allowed. I look back and now see there was little to no godly purpose in most of our performances. This has been happening in our elementary and high school institutions for a long time..

Seventh Day Adventist Schools and colleges in India and elsewhere in the world....are they commercial institutions or spiritual institutions? Bro. Lawrence's concern may look reasonable. In reality none of the SDA institutions are run at par with the Adventist philosophy of education. Everywhere it's absolutely commercial and budget oriented. If the budgetary count is less and so the enrollment, the so called our. higher officers (sorry to state that they are not leaders) blast and bombard the school principals in person and sometimes in public. Non-adventist public and parents need to be pleased. And hence, such events. Are our Church officers all levels loyally spiritual? How the leaders and so the other workers! Power and money mongering must be eradicated. Who will bell the cat? Time for God to intervene... let us pray that our unique identity is not totally lost to the world.

If you are really troubled by this, I think the very Christian way is to contact the church leaders directly and express your thoughts. That is what bible says as well! But instead making a video of it and blaming your brothers and sisters in Christian in from of a social platform just because for your personal recognition and to gain likes and comments for personal cause is no different than what worldly people are doing.
