Honestly, I don't know what contracts could be holding it up or if there was just not enough to pay for a performance. Which I guess begs the question: How much extra would it be to stream a performance compared to recording a dress rehearsal for publicity/KZbin?

I'm with you on your feels. Honestly, though, looking at the bigger zeitgeist: the political climate, financial perceptions, world stage, tis the season of conservativism and protecting the financial streams. Give it a year, my prediction is that there will be more openness to pushing envelopes and broadening perspectives. Change always happens at the bottom first, patience. If not?
