This was the first of the Halo 5 LASOs that really captured the old LASO spirit for me. The camaraderie, the stupid moments, the game glitches, the goop, the absurdly badly timed betrayals...it was all there! Laughed so hard I nearly Geoffed my pants.

Not sure about the others, but you can skip the last room of the game where 3 wardens appear. There's 2 man cannons/boosters. If you use the cannon and immediately enter slow-mo aiming to stop and line up, a mid-air boost and a ground pound (spaced out to their max distance) can reach the platform. I did it myself on a Legendary run after hearing about it online.

@@Sonicfalcon16 I doubt they read every comment. Plus, they do try things legitimately before trying anything cheesy. After spending 3+ hours in the same room, the cheesy strategies are best for their sanity. It's not like it skips anything significant anyway. It's one boss that you've already fought multiple times, except now there's 3 of them. Not exactly a game-changer to skip it so they don't give up in the final room.

I like how LASO is difficult and the difficult moments make for great content. But this really shows how broken and not play-tested this was. Tons of buggy things and just terrible checkpoints or no checkpoints and just ridiculously OP enemies even for 4 players.

I have been playing through halo 5 recently and for the covenant maps there are actually ammo depot's on most levels, they will need them as they give infinite ammo to carbines and needlers!!

As someone who hasn't played Halo 5. This looks so imbalanced for LASO. The previous LASO's have been about resetting and trying things differently. But with Halo 5 the enemies do much more damage, probably since people can be picked up, but for LASO this means that every following area is entered with minimal health and no shields so any stray bullet kills them. Add the promethean grenade that kill with a small touch at their hp and there is suddenly very little time to think strategy. There is very little breathing room and small mistakes carry over for much longer. And because of the high pace levels there are few natural checkpoints, which creates situations where checkpoints start with a bullet already on its way.

Okay, the Prometheans being able to hop on UNSC turrets makes in universe sense, but as a game mechanic, that's some bullhonkey! They already have their own turrets, the ability to spawn in via teleportation wherever you are, short range teleports around the battlespace, slim profiles, area denial cluster grenades that also EMP vehicles, and more! Yes, these are supposed to be the strongest individual enemies that Spartans have faced off against, but from a gameplay balance perspective, dear Precursor this is unfair nonsense!
