i was wanting that as well when i first started watching them do LASO but having played through all MCC LASO....no you really dont want to see them do CE and 2, they are brutal took my friend and i 5 and a half hours for Cairo Station, 6 hours for Truth and Rec (over 2 attempts) Two Betrayals took a while too, Gravemind and Regret were up there in time too, took 90 minutes just to get the old way of doing prison skip, 3ish hours setting up and fighting regret this is all following guides btw and us having been playing Halo since 2001 when it released

To the best of my abilities, I have counted the number of times downed, teammates revived, and instant deaths (sticky grenades and falling off the map) for each player. There are a few downs and revives unaccounted for but most I can state with certainty through context clues. Following LASO tradition, downing/killing another player counts towards you and not that player. Lastly, if a player revived someone that they downed, they were not accredited a revive for "fixing their mistake". Times downed: Gavin - 100 Alfredo & Michael - 107 Joe - 148 Teammates revived: Gavin - 71 Alfredo - 56 Michael - 53 Joe - 48 Instant deaths: Michael - 0 Gavin - 1 Alfredo & Joe - 3 I will be attempting to continue with this count for the other videos in the series, but my first watch will be for enjoyment so it might be a bit of time before the count comes out.

Given that Joe was an Apex pro before joining AH, I'm guessing he just heard "FPS with revive mechanics" and thought "I know how to play these", completely forgetting he's not playing against other humans with even odds, but rather against an AI with tonnes of advantages. This was a rather poor performance from him, but I'l quite sure he'll be more of an asset in future parts once he learns the right LASO mindset.

Halo 5 wasn't as bad as other Halos on solo Legendary. Having AI teammates that couldn't fully die helped. You could literally just order the other three teammates to move ahead or be a distraction, even focus on a particular enemy while you hung back or flanked with a precision weapon and picked enemies off. The only big struggle I had with Halo 5 in Legendary was the final Warden fight where you have to fight 3 at the same time while laser turrets spawn in around the area. Eventually, I had to use the "skip" method to bypass the fight in order to get past it solo.

@@NEWGHOST9 I couldn't imagine it with LASO. It's been a while since I played through the campaign fully and I am not sure if it was in the game regardless or part of the legendary difficulty. But I remember on Legendary, the final Warden fight where you take on 3 Wardens had the Promethean laser turrets spawning around the arena with each Warden you took out making it so you basically couldn't hide in cover from the Warden because the turrets basically hit every "in cover" area. I don't remember if the turrets were on Normal or not. Just solo Legendary was bad enough for me that after like half an hour, I used an exploit that basically allows you to skip the entire fight. Once you beat the Warden, a set of stairs rise up to let you get to a higher platform to finish the level. But with some quick timing and using the Ground Pound ability, you could use some gravity lifts around the edges of the arena to get on top of some pillars and then get a sprint jump towards the ending platform. You have to be quick because the top of the pillars has a countdown timer before being 'out of bounds'. If you time a Ground Pound just right, you can hit the edge of the platform and clamber up. Then you just run forward and the game treats it like you beat the Warden and lets you finish the level. Not sure if they ended up patching it out or not but ultimately, I had to shamefully use that method to get past the final Warden fight on solo Legendary.

You think precision is hard on a controller? I got like a 12-kill streak in multiplayer with the gauss cannon because of it. It's not hard to hit a target. You just have to learn the differences between the two types of controls. With controllers it's like moving around a whip, you may not be able to target someone as fast as they can target you, but you tend not to miss when you get over top of them as a result, meaning you get used to things like enemies running past you and shooting them perfectly in the head. Head pops are pretty easy on controller.

@@JohnDoe-hj9fh The campaign is pretty bad honestly. I replayed it recently and while the story is what people mostly focus on, and yeah the story is bad and most of Fireteam Osiris is boring, but that stuff has been repeated to death. Frankly the sheer repetition of the missions is a huge fucking problem. The squad based structure of the game means the vast majority of levels are full of a bunch of repeated shooting gallery rooms filled to the brim with enemies and as soon as you finish one of them you move on and run into another. Smaller encounters basically don't exist and it's just a bunch of "walk forward, kill large group, rinse and repeat," because they were limited by the crappy squad gimmick. Couple that with Promethian Knights being even more unfun to fight than they were in Halo 4. Hunters being designed like hot garbage that doesn't feel like it was playtested for non co-op play, (the concept is that you ideally want to have a teammate distract one of them while you shoot it in the back, but the AI of these teammates is hot ass when played solo, so they're no fucking help.) Not to mention the godawful Warden Eternal boss fight that the game felt the need to make you fight six of the damn things throughout the game.

@@Robbie_Haruna none of that really felt like a problem to me. Pretty much all halos are just turn off your brain and shoot games. And the warden was annoying as hell to fight especially on the hardest difficulty but it was the halo series' first big boss fight against one super powerful enemy so I give it a pass. Also I thought Osiris was the better squad, Chiefs squad (I think it was called blue or something) was the forgettable one. Literally can't remember any of them beside MC himself

@@JohnDoe-hj9fh Both squads were pretty forgettable honestly. They stretched themselves too thin with that many characters, only to have them act exposition regurgitating machines. Osiris, unlike the Arbiter, provided a pretty redundant POV. Chief was pretty much third wheel in his own game, having even fewer missions than the shared time in Halo 2. Could've had Chief going off by himself and a mixture of Blue/Osiris teams being sent to retrieve him or something. Then you'd actually have a contrast between lone wolf and a team, isolation vs comraderie, instead of one human spartan group half-assed chasing another, which in turn chases a should've-stayed-dead Cortana. Encounter variety is abysmal. Walk into chasm littered with infantry, then once you advance more spawn in. Go through a hall to another chasm. Rinse. Repeat. There's no real attempt to improve on the more unique encounter types of the past, such as sniping, sneaking, nonlinear vehicle sections, Prometheans are still extremely agitating, even without skulls. Elites aren't much better, retaining that agitating insta-melee and insta-stick from Reach. Out of all the campaigns, 5's feels closest to 2's legendary balancing (in which there was none). Warden Eternal was not the first boss enemy but it certainly learned the wrong lessons from past Halos like 2. Boss = bullet sponge that can one shot you on sight, apparently. What's worse is that it quadruples (quintuples?) down on that fight.

@@JohnDoe-hj9fh Turn off your brain and shoot only really describes Normal and Easy. Heroic and Legendary are moreso about tactical approaches to each individual encounter. Here nearly every encounter is just "room packed with enemies." Technically we had a boss fight with Tartarus in Halo 2, but even then the Warden being terrible could maybe get a pass if it was a one and done, but they make you fight that fucking thing SIX times, with later fights having fights against multiple so they clearly were proud of it despite it being designed like hot shit. Actually in the same vein, Halo 5 made Hunters the most unfun garbage to fight. Whoever thought giving them absurdly fast melee attacks (that hit faster than the animation even plays out,) long ranged tracking shots and more bulk was a good idea should be fucking fired. Every fight with them becomes brute forcing with nearby power weapons and even that feels like it wasn't playtested for solo play because of how godawful your AI allies are. Osiris had Buck. Vale and Tanaka were forgettable, Locke himself was actually interesting in other appearances, but Halo 5 made him boring as fuck. Blue Team wasn't a whole lot better, but they had a lot more presence in the books at the very least and were comparatively more fleshed out, even if the game relying on you reading the books to actually know who these people are is another big ass problem.

It's only 3 for the final Warden fight. But what makes it worse is I think as part of the legendary difficulty, laser turrets start spawning in around the arena with each Warden you take down if I recall correctly.
