Mr. BAllen has not mentioned it but aside from running away Sierra and Aaron were planning to rob their parents in order to fund their little eloping dream. So, the parents being responsible and good parents decided to break them up since these two clearly brought the worst out of each other. And during that time Daniel was so supportive of Sierra too! He was writing to her saying like "I know it's difficult but we'll get through it together like always". He was really ten out of ten dad in that situation. He truly looked out for her, he was firm and enforced some discipline but he also was understanding of her side of the situation. And she still turned on him like that for some dude she known for like a year...and was happily laughing about the brutal murder she committed. That girl is truly evil and I hope she and her bf get separated to two different prisons and end up being apart form each other for the rest of their lives, and that it brings them misery. Because this is what these two hearthless beings deserve.

While she was mentally unstable as stated by Daniel in court, part of me wants to blame the mother. Like fu#%!...She ruined his life by falsely accused him to hide her infidelity/being a slut and faced no legal consequences - except being forced to resign when word got out of her affair that contradicts her "family values" campaign. Who knows how the kids grew up with their mother after living with the same man/home wrecker that their mother had an affair with. It's very likely the dynamic was strained and resentment toward the two, especially the mother. It's possible that Sierra "inherited" one of her mother's toxic traits: when things don't go their way and being told "no", their drive is do what they can to make them suffer whatever means necessary without any moral compass. And both weren't sorry either.. Also being with the boyfriend made it worse

I had a true crime phase recently and I’ve noticed a pattern. Of the cases I’ve seen involving teenagers, they are usually motivated by a romantic relationship. I’ve seen a fair few cases like this where a parent or guardian gets killed because they forbid a romantic relationship. I’ve also seen quite a few cases where a new couple kills the ex of one the partners. I can not begin to image the thought process of killing someone, especially someone who always supported you throughout your life.

It's messed up that a father, who does his best for his wife and kids ends up in a position like that. His wife cheats and wins, getting what she wants because of him, but cheats on him. She gets caught, then decides instead of leaving him, she labels him a sex offender and takes the kids. No doubt, she or her new husband wasn't good parents for considering how one had turned out . And in the end, Daniel is killed by the same child he adored.

Oh you have no idea how common that stuff is. I worked as security in a Target before, they do the same shit. If you can actually see a camera in a store like that, its probably not a real camera, most of the security cameras stores like that use are pinhole cameras. Criminal looks up and sees the dome, tries to get out of sight of it, moves into sight of the hidden camera and commits their crime.
