There are days where I can’t watch his videos. I like MrBallen’s videos, but when ever the story starts I immediately have a stress or a fear feeling. Idk what that means it’s a chest and a stomach feel. I think the way he tells the story he makes you feel like you’re there, witnessing the whole thing

Wendigo are largely Algonquian legend. Their condition is one of eternal hunger for human flesh- a curse of cannibalism or possession by an evil spirit. The height element is part of their torment: as they grow taller, they avoid satiation and hunger even greater. As a result, their height is often greater than trees and their legs subject to being mistaken as tree trunks. That's, of course, just one rendition of the legend. In some places they do seem to overlap with hairy homonids.

Regarding end discussion: you have got to remember that there are EXTREMELY stupid people out there. Example: I have seen a pic of 2 people that decided wearing a zebra costume and walking towards lions was a good idea. They were unsurprisingly attacked. Never underestimate a person’s stupidity.

I think if a moose jumped on the cabin or walked on it AT LEAST some of the paint or ceiling would peel off...moose is a HUGE animal and is heavy.

I want to go hike once and feel myself spiritually taking in the old roots and having a cabin but it's this kinds of story that's makes me want to do it but I'm hiking with a squad full of armed man to the teeth. Like even if I decided to be alone in the cabin of the woods I'm making sure the cabin only have one or two windows, double padded logs for further reinforcement. And the log should be dug out like a mound and my cabin is full of every goddamn arms I can muster that I'm literally ready for a war set. If I'm doing this thing and hear a slight gossip about weird things on the night

And he manage to celebrate all the holidays with his two dogs and he swim in cold ice rivers and aah his Axe throwing is legendary! You know, most of what Mr. Ballen says about the woods stories being horror movies is true in American cinema. But go over to the U.K., and a lot of their horror movies are about the cities. I think it's because of how the culture differs. Americans had quite a lot of civilization to start with, big cities on the east coast, even when the Pilgrims landed in 1620, they immediately tried to set up a town area. It was when they ventured out into the wilderness that things got really scary. With the Brits, they started in the country and it was peaceful, there were no real predators to worry about. When they got more advanced and started building cities, like London, it was then that you started to find that the worst of humanity had to offer cropped up in the dark alleys and smoke-choked air of Victorian London during the Industrial Revolution. It's when killers, robbers, and things like Spring-Heeled Jack would appear to make your life a living hell. I think it's pretty interesting how culture from two countries that have the same starting point diverged wildly over time.

i live in the Canadian woods i have a front and back flood lights that turn on when movements happens so animals get scared and people who are not a threat get scared an example someone was gonna steal something in my yard and the light came on and they drove off. Now actual threats might be a problem but the only way they can get in is the porch door and the door to enter the house (not reinforced yet) and since my house is tall and the only windows are near the top so you need a long ladder to get to them. BTW no trees close around my house.

I just think the guy didn't have his head on straight after his dad died, and he was out of his element. You can hike up a mountain or take the tram. Both people get to the summit, but only one of them could have done it by themselves. That story always chills me to the core. When I saw a Crawler, it was in broad daylight for a few seconds. It still makes me tear up every time I think about it. I can't even imagine how bad it is for him.

Never admit to having a horrible trip the only time you tried mushrooms. There is alot of (I guess you'd call it 'lore'?) stuff documented by many people who've used ALOT of psychadelics, and generally speaking; people who have a very bad trip the first time they try hallucinogens have a guilty mindset and are often predatory people in general.
