That was really nice of you to help out that young lady. The photo of her in the water will make a great album cover!

It is the consistent story telling of the adventure alongside the photographs that keeps me watching week after week. Sometimes we get a bit of a whinge, and the honesty reminds us we all have tough days. Sometimes like the recent hoarfrost we get top notch photography in magical conditions. This week we get falling tripods and a crazy store about an ice bathing musician. Thanks for brining us along and sharing the journey. Additionally, it may not be a masterpiece, but the quarry shot does have the the charcoal pencil vibe; I like it.

That photo of the musician in the water ROCKS! Most local musicians struggle to get good images for promotion and they can’t afford to pay a photographer! You are a good man for helping! And it saved your Vlog!!!!! LOL THANKS FOR TAKING ME ALONG!

Thomas, once again a great video. And to help a damsel in distress! I've learned from you that it's about the hike, the journey, that pics at times appear. Earlier in the week I was hiking, camera in the bag, and walked into a bull moose. Slowly backed up, got to a point where I could dig out my camera, took a couple pics, then bolted for the Jeep. Your advice worked!!! We'll keep watching over your shoulder from the Rocky Mountains, here in Montana, USA. Stay warm Thomas! (Curious how your conversation with the Mrs. went...)

Always good to see a challenge undertaken I think you well considering, so much than the rest of us woulf of done. So fortunate to meet Solfyr and take a few photos with her. She does my kind on music, been listening to traditional Nordic folk for a good few years. .. .

I love the more mellow attitude you have developed over the years that makes your story creating more fun to watch! Explaining how snow is not always a winter wonderland for images was very helpful. You got a nice, lucky twist at the end for sure which reminded me of Sarah Lyndsay's yellow dress series.

What a legend, Thom. Also man.. you didn't speak too highly of it, but I LOVE the quarry image. My girlfriend walked through the living room the moment it popped on screen and she even let out a "WOAH!" upon seeing it. It's pretty captivating, man. Great work.

Hi Tom, if you see this, you mentioned in the video that you would leave links to the Norwegian folk singer, but I can’t see any links in the notes, I guess this is just an over sight. Still a nice video, even if the photo opportunities were a bit thin on the ground. I think it’s helpful showing this side to what you do, that not every outing rewards with a bounty, but there’s still a story to tell there.

I have some explaining to do to my wife...'-best line ever! The overall theme of the video though... takes me back to something you mentioned in one of your earlier videos that really resonated with me. It's not always about the image, but the journey. Even if it wasn't exactly pleasant or perfect, it still looked amazing. By the way, that photo of her in the water was absolutely spot on!

Well, try explaining that to Mrs. Heaton 😂 Stumbling upon a woman in the middle of nowhere, in almost a blizzard, and she decides to go for a dip right there and while we’re at it, might as well chance a photoshoot 😅 I’d have hard time elaborating myself 😅

I totally feel you, the same happened to me when there was finally some snow here in the Netherlands. Before you know it's all one big mess.
