To be fair, I can't imagine the ad revenue you get can really be enough to replace a full-time job. Even when I get [for my channel, what I consider good] views [8,000] that video only generated me £22 in ad revenue. This is why I still work 50 hours a week aswell [well, aswell as the fact I have 3 kids], in the hope that I can build my channel's popularity to gradually decrease my physical work hours down and can spend more time on creating reviews for my channel. I think the problem you face is the fact there are SO MANY channels out there now with people going to car boots, showing pickups, going to charity shops, and doing free game collections so it is much harder to stand out. This is why I changed the focus of my primary channel into pure video game content with voice over work, and dumping all other videos on a separate [very unpopular] channel. As for channel memberships, I thought you already had that on your channel anyway? Hopefully for you, it works better than mine has!

I have worked warehouse jobs for 11years straight (30now) I am completely bald, I get angry easily, drink too much and I struggle to maintain friendships etc. never had any such issues before the rat race. Stick with your channel! Find a new niche! Or find part time work!

I personally think you're charismatic enough and your the video quality is good enough for you to branch out in a way that Mad Season Show did from World of Warcraft. Use your following to start and grow a business, also worth diversifying to other platforms if you haven’t already that have monetisation options like TikTok, Facebook etc, also the run up to Christmas is a good time upload more regularly as ad revenue tends to be higher since more brands are paying for ads

unfortunately alot of people see it as only doing one or the other, when in reality it is the complete opposite, working, and treating youtube or reselling etc as a fun hobby frees/invigorates you, and allows you to fully live, and be flexible on both sides, hopefully he figures it out, you can't underestimate the power of a stable wage, it offers so much

It's surely his ideal job! And, his local store Cwmbran couldn't get any worse with him working there anyway! Lined up the other day to buy 1 game, four staff on, 1 till open, guy at the till had tons of random tech items he kept taking out of a bag and wanting prices on....staff member shouts over to me, "Oh, sorry we are only serving from one till today" and then carries on talking to another worker. Someone else joins the line....I get annoyed, shove the game on a random shelf, and walk out. :)

@@gameshack1985 I wasn’t really using my channel as an example of not making money, it’s difficult to even grow subscribers because people tend to watch videos but not subscribe, nothing wrong with that if we subscribed to every channel we watched we would be overloaded with subscriptions, but in general the point I was making is that it’s not easy to make a living out of KZbin, some get lucky or are just exceptional at what they do and get millions of subscribers, some get a few Thousand and that’s great but still not enough, then there’s those with 31 that do it for fun and don’t expect any money to come from KZbin 😏😉

Unfortunately you have to work to live, I’m lucky I have a trade and I work two jobs, to support my family and get things I want and holidays, otherwise what’s the point. Works hard but rewarding and builds character and confidence. So why not a get part time job and do KZbin.
