This is actually beautiful. I’m 44, been to a ton of funerals, and the best one was at a Mississippi sing off, celebration of life. Holy hell lol. It was anything but sad. I actually wish I could go back to that day and celebrate again. And we r talking my cousin who passed at 42 from cancer… It was also my Aunts SECOND adult son to pass away. The first died due to a 4 wheeler accident. I’ll take a funeral like this ANY. DAMN. DAY!!!!

Exactly. There will be plenty of times to mourn, I know I’ve cried and missed people much more intensely even years after a funeral. If the person and the family wants to celebrate their life, let them! Tbh I find burying people in a fancy wooden box and potentially while full of chemicals much stranger.

That chair looks comfy af. My mom used to obsessively watch TLC and this show was SO weird but respect for actually giving these folks a memorable time during a sad point in their lives. Also, a lot of Americans just don't prepare ahead for funeral costs, including the cost of a plot and headstone. I've helped my elderly dad prepare for his for the last 5 years and it's so disgustingly expensive. I'm 32 and already working on putting money for cremation, as I don't want a funeral. I want my friends & family to have a BBQ, eat good food, have fun, and get drunk in remembrance of me. I'd like to think this show at least alleviated some of the cost of a funeral for some grieving families.

That is heartbreaking!! Thank God we know the funeral people and my brother has been best friends with the owners son who does the cremations. Because when my son took his life we had him cremated and placed in his hookah! And then when my husband died of cancer his ashes went into a small wine barrel because he made his own wine! But I know 100% my son and husbands ashes are there’s! My heart goes out to all these families who have lost their loved one’s ashes! No money in the world can ever replace that negligence!!
