6:40 That’s correct. This chapter was inspired by Speed. This arc originally was published in 1995. And Speed did very well in Japan. But funnily enough, Speed was based off of a Japanese film concept by the legendary film maker Kurosawa. The concept was essentially that a train was speeding out of control and people mistakenly believed that this was due to a bomb on the train.

Fun fact, In both JoJo's Bizarre Adventure "Eyes of Heaven" and "All-Star Battle (OG and Remake)" games Josuke's special attack is based on him Healing his opponent before beating them up like what he did with Yuya in this episode, the thing is, There's a Paraplegic character in the game and thanks to the way the game works this character also gets up on his two feet after getting healed during the animation so it looks like Josuke un-criples and re-criples the poor dude during the attack, it's been 3 games and they never "fixed" this by giving him a custom animation

MUSIC REFERENCES IN THIS EPISODE: -Yuya Fungami's tie has the words "HIGHWAY" and "SPEED KING." "HIGHWAY" is likely in reference to his Stand, Highway Star, taking its' name from the Deep Purple song of the same name. The "SPEED KING" portion is in reference to another Deep Purple song, Speed King. fun fact: the english dub voice of Yuya Fungami eventually went on to voice the protagonist of Part 5! as to why Josuke didn't put the phone back together? i don't know. maybe the stress of the moment made him forget, maybe he just wanted to grab some other guy's phone.

I much prefer the theory that he noticed how badly his parents' relationship was clearly going (despite how much they tried to hide it) so he started spying on them in hopes of finding clear proof that they actually love eachother or clear proof that they should break up, so as to not remain in this stalemate for the rest of their lives. It would explain why the first thing he noticed was off was the fact that his parents seemed to _actually be into eachother_ all of a sudden.

10:48 If you wanna love that for him even more, here's a fun fact (sorry if someone already said it, haven't checked). In the final story that ended up being published, Kira's father just helps Kira cause he's his son. However, originally Kira was supossed to have been abused by his mother, his father made blind eye to it, and helps Kira now because he feels guilty about it. This story was never told because Araki was afraid readers would sympathize too much with the main villain, but it's not considered non canon just because it's not shown, since nothing in the final story contradicts it
