I can tell you that your general state of mind has a lot to do with how you play this game. Being tired or not getting enough sleep will affect your performance. Its about reaction time and being tired definitely slows you down.

You should through some fake kickoffs into your game, you have some mechs and it would be an easy way to get free possession. Also, try some wavedashes after you 50 the ball

The diag flip demo works but it's sort of hard to use well. If you flip too early or too late, you end up going right through them. The speed boost from flips is an instantaneous boost, so the timing is a bit hard to get down. A guy I used to play with knew how to do it so you could pretty reliably choose to bump *or* demo but he stopped playing before I thought to ask him to teach me :/ We used to joke that it'd be the next big mechanic before walldashes became mainstream

Damn i knew it i knew something was wrong with my kickoffs i was watching ayyjayy and i was like why does he jump a little but earlier and why are his kickoffs so good thats what he does he mastered the art of kickoffs and knows what to do to win kickoffs thank god coconut posted about it because now i know i need to master it Edit: I won alot of games not all kick offs because just started to do it but damn it's good try it

why are you diagonal flipping into the kickoff? would you not get a better 50/50 if you flip straight into it?

No because the person who air rolls to the side will win the 50 because the front flip only pushes it into the opponent but if you air roll to the side or diagonal flip you will push the ball to that side if done correctly
