this SIMPLE HACK made my freestyle drone fly JUICY

You've heard about all those PID hacks and experts teaching you how to tune your drone... pfffffff, check dis out!!!
If your FC has an ICM gyro, then you need to make sure there are ZERO wires of any kind above or below the FC; the wires generate noise, which prevents the gyro from working its magic and, in turn, no matter how well you tune it, there will be mid throttle oscillations...

If you remember Calculus it's Proportional f(x), Derivative f'(x) and Integral Sf(x). P = how fast the quad will PUSH to obey your commands D = how much will the overshoots be DAMPENED I = While the overshoot is being DAMPENED, it avoids going into infinite back and forth oscillations. It's like a security belt for the D term.

You're a gangster, Jay! Some more additional info from a guy who's not a professional but a pretty experienced Builder and nerd. The mpu 6000 was at end of life, and it was not being mass-produced anymore. I do believe the company stopped making it for a couple of years, and now they are making them again in small numbers, but at a much higher price. That's why a lot of manufacturers have shifted over to the BMI 270 and the ICM 42668p. I was having a hell of a time tuning the ICM gyro, until I learned recently that the increased sensitivity was not jiving with the board design on many of the flight controllers. More filtering was needed, not from our end, but in betaflight software. That's now been addressed as of betaflight 4.5. Now my two best flying quads are on the icm onn4.5, but to your point, they do need to be clean of excess vibration resonance. Mumbo jumbo...shut up NERD! 👆🏻🤪 Always love the videos, and I'm always down for storytime. Stay juicy, bro! ❤👊🏻

My favorite FC at the moment is the Jhemcu gf30f722 it has the icm gyro, but not all versions of betaflight seem to work with it well, but they are cheap and fly amazing once you do find a firmware version that works properly, i have 4 builds with one of those in it with a skystars ESCs, had to repin the connector of course, they are so good! but i can't stand the bmi gyro at all, has several of those and hated them all, i could never seem to get a good tune with those at all...

To the naked eye it didn't look like it was touching, so my guess is mostly electrical but possibly in my case I'm sure there must have been a little bit of physical noise, especially if when I was flying around, the wires moved around. Good question, thanks

So a wire was vibrating against the gyro ic and causing a stutter. Makes perfect sense that the gyro is by its nature, very sensitive to being smacked around by a wire knocking on its package. Sorta like your testicles, it doesn't take much of a tap to have you make a funny face.. But Bro, it took you near 7 min. to get to the point, and then you weren't very clear. Glad you got a solution, nothing more frustrating than a problem that doesn't change, not matter what you change in the setup.
