raynor I tried your strategy when you first introduced in and have used it as part of my yearly groeth targets. I did see what you can use it on stocks and I do very well form it. The only thing I will say is in the uk we do trade stocks on leverage with brokers so losses can be alot greater. Hence what I do is start small and if the price goes lower i add more to the position until if reaches 40

I have done extensive back testing and research on this method. I took the average amount of trades per year on this for 20+ stocks and the average amount of monetary value per trade and calculated how much %return you could realistically make per year. On 27 trades a year from my research, you can bring back 50-60% returns on the year.

Thank you Rayner for the valuable tips. I checked the rules you mention and found that this tactic (because the strategy is that we go only long) can work about 3-4 times in the past few months on my watchlist (NASDAQ stocks and agro/metal futures). So yes it works. The return is roughly 2-9%. Add to that leverage and then add also the possible correct use of trailing stop loss then it can go higher. Right now the conditions are close to be met at Saleforce's stock (CRM) for those that want to give it a try. Thanks again Rayner for the valueable content you share with us.

I think people got clickbaited into it by the "88.9%" and felt a bit short sold and they probably don't understand your brilliant style of covering fundamentals and first principles. I only trade the stock market and Im just a beginner but this strategy when I first saw made so much sense and if I had known earlier I would've been able to use it as a layered confirmation and would've gotten in so many nicer trades. Furthermore, I think people are underestimating the frequency that this can be used in the stock market as maybe your following is mostly maybe fx etc but if people want some examples, I've been observing bare opportunities and I've just started taking trading seriously since like after covid started so my experience is minimal but look at $GOOG's rebound from 21-23sept 20' where it touched 30 10-rsi twice. Then even more recently, look at $SQ's rebound(caught a 25% swing on this personally) from 02Nov 20', also hits 30 10-rsi. Similar timeline for $LMND's rebound from 29 oct 20'. Now, I'm speculating we'll observe a similar pattern for $BABA who's currently trading unusually around the 30 10-rsi because of an unfortunate short-term mishap. This strategy is impeccable if you know that the market you're interacting with is in a long term perma-bull market which can be deduced by researching individual stocks with some basic investing knowledge. There are a lots of times when stock's get oversold because of short-term negative commotion and this strategy can act as a very nice entry-trigger to recognize easy short-term swings.
