This may come as a shock to some. I enjoy the narration from the presenter's observations. So much information can be shared in just a few minutes.

Good Morning probably got some moisture on the fitting causing the connecter to freeze due to those temps mine do all the time

The best grapple I've ever used in the last 30 years of utility right-of-way clearing was a bobcat tine grapple on a cat 299D2 .. it was nimble enough to pick up a golf ball and strong enough to pick up and move around logs weighing thousands of pounds

We definitely had that problem with those fittings. Cracking the fitting loose to relieve the pressure always worked for us.

I made a setup that saves from cracking the lines to relieve the pressure.. Contact me and I will send you pictures and some explanation..

Howdy Brock! Always enjoy watching WALL-E zip around. Take that fitting indoors with you and let it warm up. Might just have had some moisture in there. Thanks for sharing 🤠

Good morning the flat face couplers can be a pain some times . Some how there will be pressure . Every time I unhook I try to neutralize all pressure. Skid steer ,tractor or excavator .
@scottseavert61434 ай бұрын
With your 325g can you have the load partially off the ground that you can exist to cut logs that are in the grapple? Just thinking if the log can be elevated enough so it’s off the ground and still open the door.

You should definitely ALWAYS make sure your attachment on the skid steer is securely locked on before using it. I didn't do that once with a grapple, and when I tilted it down to pick up a pile of brush it fell to the ground and ripped one of the hydraulic fittings right off. Haven't made that mistake since. Keep up the good work!

It's amazing what an o shit moment and a few dollars lost will teach you. Like when I went down a hill on a tractor with the front bucket full of wood without putting it in 4wd

Looks like a nice grapple. I buying used skid steer. I like good brush grapple. Nice video

It wasn't a problem with the other fitting you had pressure on the line and when you remove the fitting it released the pressure.....

Use hot water on coupling when cold. Wisconsin weather and a working farm taught me that
@ThePullnfool5 ай бұрын
I just hit it with my propane torch for a second.. Drys out the coupling so it will not freeze again.. Does not work on my snow blower though cuz it gets snow on it when working blowing snow, then the warm hose melts the snow..
@ThePullnfool5 ай бұрын
You were having trouble hooking up your hoses.. You may have had a frozen coupler, or pressure in the lines.. I made up some valves to remove the pressure in the lines of my grapple.. It works flawlessl

Which grapple are you using there?
@jasonpinnix190510 ай бұрын
Brock the slabs you put in the pile would have made good fire wood . But I do laser stand there are only so many Hrs in a day .

Residual pressure can cause those hydraulic lines to be a pain to connect. Nathan from OTW uses a tool to connect his, he has mentioned it several times. Nice grapple!

Mine has a built-in pressure release. First time I’ve had trouble.

A skidsteer with a grapple that opens so wide, and clamps down extra hard, what brushpile has a chance?

Just wondering why you dont make a permanent spot to burn out of concrete?
@RockhillfarmYT10 ай бұрын
I would say that In a hole is still safer than on concrete. Wind is the big problem. Concrete is expensive. Holes are free

Thats a Positrack not a Skidsteer. Skidsteer have tires hence the working skid, cause your turning skids the tires, where this is a Positrack, using rubber tracks like a tank.
@ThePullnfool5 ай бұрын
A positrack is still a skid steer as it slides the tracks to turn..
