Really sucks that Metagross keeps getting slightly bad each generation. Mega Evolution was it's saving grace but now that it's gone and won't come back in the foreseeable future, it'll suffer severely in the current metagame, with all the power creep, assuming that it comes back in the DLC. Slow speed, lack of recovery, no stat boosting moves and no good STAB physical move outside the inaccurate and less powerful moves like Meteor Mash and Zen Headbutt, I don't think it'll even be an RU mon. Game Freak doesn't seem to give any new tech after Gen 6 to Metagross, probably has to do with the fact that Ken Sugimori hates Metagross. Kommo-O got Clangerous Soul, after losing it's Z-Crystal. They could have given something unique to Metagross but they didn't. It's clear that GameFreak hates Metagross because it's a constant reminder to them how good a Pokemon design can be.
