I agree with them being under appreciated. But for me my love for the silhouette is because as a kid these where my 1st pair of Jordan’s. I wish they could figure something out with the netting yellowing cause I also agree with once they yellow (even just a tad) the whole shoe looks bum. So I hold back on every 5 they release. Even these. And the fire reds that’s set to release later on this year. I gotta pass. They definitely look like a sold shoe though.

Close to orig. Toe box is better than previous release not as booty boxy. Toe box recreation seems to be tough to do. The orig. toe box had a flow that sat low and flat and was contoured. The reimagined sorta curls at the toe. Need to see it with black laces.

If Nike and Jordan Brand wanted to make a statement, then just give us the Player Exclusive version with the #23 on the side, and the white laces. Seth, you’ve got to get details and information correct. 1. They still didn’t fix the toebox, even though the upcoming Grape 5s have an improved toebox. The 2016 pair had a mudguard that was much better, but the rest of the shoe wasn’t an aerodynamic shape. 2. This is NOT NUBUCK. Stop calling it nubuck when it’s a synthetic material. You can just tell by how ashy it is. These details are important.

J5 has it's own style. However, it's too bulky for my taste. It's something I would wear on court rather than casual. If i were to collect, i choose this over 4's due to the lace flaps/heel tabs that always get brittle.
