this is cool but it makes me think couldn't AE try and do smth like this but within the game itself? I feel like there could be way better results if AE actually attempted to fix the fact that most people play at 10fps 😭

I don't have the open source code so I can't say for sure. But the game is basically made on flash which has no support for this type of thing. If someone wanted to add it they would need to get a wrapper that boots right before the engine starts. Which for flash they have 0 hooks that the wrapper can attach it self too so it'd be close to impossible unless they make another program that would try to do it to EVERYTHING like this program. Which has pretty mixed results most of the time and if you tab out you will need to focus the entire thing all over again.

Converting to bitmap / better renderer. And use Ai to generate inbetween frames for the animations. Would be simple to do. It would take some time to go through everything. But not a crazy long time.

Yea nice. The January 10th update was definitely a game changer for me. Mainly use LSFG 3.0 & X3 mode. Im just happy I can play with animations turned on again 😂

I saw this app mentioned few months back on a subreddit for this game and after trying it with the game back then I'll never not use it with AQW. I can actually have animations turned on for the enemies now. Years of not seeing what the devs made now I can see it again.

Cost 8 buck in US, Texas, and I try it out. Results: I can now play AQW on full-screen mode no more border. Slightly better

Same experience and being in a full room you get the slow down of 8 fps but it is a bit smoother.

Yeah I tried it, it doesn't work in full rooms, lots of distortion and lag, but solo the game has never looked better.

Yeah frame gen is not suitable for aqw, it requires good enough frame rate to be usable (at least 45-60)

annyone else worries that once aqw releases on steam the game might just die faster?. i mean lets look at the stats. 1. most of us run aqw as a second game while running our steam game. you wont be able to do that once it goes over too steam (lose in players) for sure. 2. it isnt going to grow on steam its a 2d clicking system game its 2025 no one is looking foward for games like that it aint gonna pull anny new players thats gonna stay. these are my biggest concerns that once it goes on steam...... aqw just gonna die faster cuz loyal players gonna have too pick over aqw and i know ALLOT of ppl gonna play other games over aqw. so right now i feel like theam struggling getting it on steam is for the better.
