Very quick tip for the Venture gameplay: A little after the Season 10 mid-season patch they gave Venture quite a few QoL buffs to their drill dash, primarily making it so it starts its cooldown the moment you use it (instead of waiting to finish like before) and *also* cooling down 90% faster when you're in Burrow. With this in mind, I recommend using drill dash the moment you enter burrow (assuming you're using it for movement and plan to use the full 5 second burrow), because by the time you're out of burrow you'll have drill dash back off cooldown to use again. Helps a ton with movement and also helps a ton with survivability. Also, while you can use drill dash to extend the end length of your burrow, you should probably only do this when trying to stall, since when you come back out you won't have your drill dash immediately, which pretty much leaves you as a sitting duck cause you have neither of your abilities to help you survive

I also say to get back to your team, dash a bit up and burrow you will have just enough time in burrow to dash again and you will get extra distance and it will be on a short cooldown.

A little bit of VAXTA goes a long way. If you're having trouble landing shots or abilities like the Virus, you can just take like 5-10 minutes to drill it in the practice mode and see immediate improvement. Do that daily for like a week and you probably won't even need the VAXTA practice anymore.

I mean i was at the bottom of silver for dds all the time, than i had only one day where i played with a group (we didn’t even talk, we were just all good and not throwing) and i ranked up to silver 1. As sombra main, if even one of your teammates is bad and trolling, you are done for, there is no way you can outplay on a backline when your team has to play 3v4 around the objective…

Im going to guess Silver 1 or Gold 5 at most. They keep trying to use Sombra's virus as a mid/long range weapon while stealthed, which is impossible for her to follow up with her short range weapon. It seemed like they were too focused on peeling the enemy sombra and their backline when it didn't make sense, especially as Venture. Game sense and mechanics still needs a lot of work. I haven't played on Console since pre-pandemic OW1, but I feel like they would get punished constantly in my Gold 1 PC games. The last several minutes of Venture were great, that's how they're meant to be played. You disrupt and badger their backline, and only peel yours if you're already in the area or are in big team fights. Think of Venture as like DPS Doom from OW1.

I feel like they should really adjust their sens, seems like they can barely control it so it’s most likely way too high. They‘ll start to get confident and more aggressive as soon as they start hitting more - they‘re wayyy too scared for playing sombra because of their self consciousness.

This video made me realize that EYE am in fact in Elo Hell. I’m in Silver 4, but literally manage to get 40+ kills (with at least 80% being solo) and still manage to lose. I prioritize supports and flankers, manage to still peel for my team, and shut down enemy ults and abilities. I’m consistently matched with 007 teammates and I think it’s because my mechanics from being a Diamond Lucio are carrying over to sombra, and making the match making system put me on a team where I’m supposed to be the carry. That’s not pressure for me, however, my teammates never do enough to keep anyone alive from the tank making space (usually matched with sniper Winston’s and divas) supports who WANT to DPS but couldn’t even duel with Yugi Oh if he had uno cards. And a second DPS (because that’s all they are, a filler for match making. Consistently they either are purposely throwing, feeding, afk, leave because I’m diffing them, or they try their hardest, but shoot the tank only all game to end up 12 15 16 with like 30k dmg) maybe I just need friends so I can rank up but my schedule doesn’t all permit normal gaming hours. I do get a decent amount of time on, but usually never around the same time.

If you're playing weird hours, you might be encountering deranker lobbies in silver. Look out for endorsement 1s, randgen or otherwise sus names & blank or free icons and namecards. Avoid them. Also I recommend you pick up Pharah and onetrick her to gold. Silvers have no idea what to do with her.
