It's interesting that you mentioned samba, because it's a very representative style, and it's often referenced by our hip-hop. But even so, for foreigners, all aspects of our culture are "whitewashed" and despite our samba being a black genre, here in Brasil we had the equivalent of what happened in the US with rock, which was created by black people and whitewashed by the industry.

The translation didn’t actually picked that phrase quite right. “From carnival to carnival, I came from the jungle, I’m a lion, I’m too much for your BACKYARD.” Would be more precise. Because the intention is really to say that a Lion can’t be in a backyard. The translation gave the interpretation of the pun/wordplay. Awesome. Keep it up. Hugs from Brasil!
