Aaaaaaaaaah!!!! I'm so happy you guys are back!!!!! Edit: MIW are a mixed bag. They have some hard-core. They have some metalcore. More soft and more melodic songs. They really have it all. If you want to hear one of my favorite songs, I HIGHLY recommend "Immaculate Misconception". It's super heavy.

So happy to see you guys back!! I agree with the person who said you need to react to the whole album. I don't know how many times I've listened to it all the way through. It's a good mix of songs, some heavy like this one and other more melodic, but heavy lyrically. My favorites are the last 2 on the record. Red, white, boom, which is another political one and has Caleb shomo in it. The closer is the title track is so good. It reminds me of the closing of a musical and is a colab with mick gordon.

Thoughts and Prayers and Immaculate Misconception have really thought provoking music videos. I think you'll like "older" Motionless a lot. They have altered their sound throughout the years, but one thing that I love about them is that they can pull off so many different genres. I hate to listen to a band that all their songs sound the same. You won't get that on a Motionless album. So much unapologetic diversity in their music.

Really dug your views on the new MIW, definitely agree with the previous post about them being a mixed bag. This song goes to show you that they can still go hard with their heavy material though. When people say they’ve gone soft I have to laugh because to me, they’ve still got it all these years later You ought to check out the guest vocalist’s band, knocked loose. That guys name is Bryan Garris, he’s a force to behold live, one of the best bands in the scene right now. Their song Billy no mates//counting worms is a banger

I heavily disagree with the overall assessment of MIW. They’re heavy a lot more often than not and Disguise as an album and the single were amazing. Slaughterhouse is a great song but to me it’s not even the best on the new album. I just don’t think they need to be 100% melt your face off metal to be appealing and that’s coming from another metal head.

Yeah the political situation is rough around the world. I think the worst part is the growing attacks against minority groups and how those are being baited to distract from whats actually going on, but even that is starting to fail and the real panic is setting in. The sad truth is that only some of the rich get taken down in revolutions, its the common people who get hit the hardest and all too often in a generation or two the upper class slimes their way back. Also, though it isn't as heavy, you might like Meltdown on the same album as this song

Honestly, I never really got into MIW, a bunch of my mates did and I never really saw why. Tbh I'm still not a fan really, they feel... "generic" (hate that term but I don't really know how else to describe it). There's just something that doesn't click with me when it comes to them, but then they have certain tracks that make me wanna roundhouse someone in the teeth!? (Like the end of this track for example).

I don’t really agree with that. To suggest billionaires shouldn’t exist is to say two things happen to make them not that which is theft or death and neither are moral reasons. I’m all for people making as much money as they make so long as they don’t hurt people or don’t steal from anyone else to do it.

@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast but that’s what anyone who owns and sells their own products. Ryan Reynolds may be an actor but now provides a cell phone service. Is he stealing from others to make himself more rich or is he providing a service to others and enter into those purchases in a voluntary exchange money for cell phone service.
@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast
@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast 2 жыл бұрын
Ryan Reynolds is actually a perfect example of the point. He takes less profit than he could to provide goods and a more fair price. But that still only half the equation. Is he paying the employees a livable wage? That's what matters. If you're not paying people a livable wage but paying yourself more than you need , then you're stealing from your employees by exploiting their labor. It's not stealing from customers thats the problem. As long as there is fair competition the free market works. It's stealing from the labor force that's the issue. But also Ryan isn't a billionaire. He probably could be if he wanted to leverage mint mobile and squeeze it for everything it's worth. But he's not doing that. As of now he's not the people the left talk about when they say eat the rich.

@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast employee’s aren’t exploited if they willingly and voluntarily take up the position especially full knowing what their jobs entails. My ceo makes a lot of money but Imhe also has one of the most stressful jobs of anyone. Even then if the company as a whole doesn’t reach our sales goals he has in the past paid every employee (and there’s hundreds of us) a decent bonus out of his own pocket. Not all millionaires and billionaires are the same. Someone like a bezos who has benefitted from innovation but he also has benefited from government handing him customers on a silver platter during the lockdowns when mom and pop shops were shut down and amazon made record high profits being one of a couple options to obtains goods.

So much to say. The higher scream was worse than the lower one. Cleans were good. So much more could have been done the the lyric video. So boring watching the same thing. Does have similarities to "Lions At The Gate - "Find My Way" featuring Tatiana Shmayluk of Jinjer (Official Music Video 4K) but having two singers harmonize perfectly in both their growls and cleans makes this seem routine. None-the-less it wasn't bad.
