First found you and your beautiful music 🎶 several months ago...and it has helped me so much. But I hadn't been listening for the past few weeks..life got in the way. So...have recently been missing something in my life. This morning one of your videos popped up on my feed again. Well, I clicked on it, and the tears began to flow as soon as I heard the first few notes. THAT WAS IT!!! Realized what I'd been missing. Son, you are a true gift to so many of us. Please don't ever stop making your beautiful music 🎶🎹🎵🎶❤️🙏

My God, another of your compositions that I absolutely love. How do you do it - compose songs that stirs the emotions in such a way that they do? It's very difficult to find the best way to describe the effect they have. They're soothing, comforting, moving, and relaxing, kind of like an auditory massage. (Your and James Onohan's compositions are far and away the few songs that I can listen to hundreds of times and not tire of.)

Your pieces just show how an acoustic piano will beat keyboard and synth 1000 times out of a 100, there is just no sound like it and no sound which evokes such emotion and passion. And just like Thad said in the replies to the comment below, you a truly underrated and deserve to be seen by the world, and also Thad is, if you cannot see the piece, hear the piece and most importantly, feel the piece then you will never be able to truly play it, talent is a gift not a privilege, not a right, its something that you either have or you don’t, there are not two way about it

I just happened upon your site truly accidentally….. by not even knowing my fingers were pushing the next arrow as i was walking and talking with my iPad in hand…. My daughter had just asked me why all the you tube videos that i watched were so negative, controversial, and made me angry and irritable. And lastly, she asked if could i please not play it so loud!!!? So i was walking away with my tablet to give her some peace and quiet in her own home ( shes my youngest child of 35 years old and i have just had my 66th birthday in November….your piano work is astounding and magnificently peaceful and calming; exciting at the same time. You are an amazing talented and gifted youn man and no doubt have and will[ continue to inspire others as well as give them an attitude adjustment; like you did for me. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART❤❤❤❤❤I SUBSCRIBED IMMEDIATELY😊

In my honest opinion if you can’t see it and hear it and understand it from watching this video then you won’t ever be able to play it. It’s like trying to copy Tom Waits playing the piano and singing “29 dollars”. Only he can pull it off. I still can’t figure out Toms piano I think it’s all black keys and his own form of blues. At any rate....talent is personal and unique. It’s very hard to copy....kinda like Floyd Cramer who developed his own style. Some have learned his technique. This tune here is a little easier cause the composer isn’t singing along with his playing but it’s still his own and he does own it. Try just following what cords he’s playing with his left hand and following with the ditty in his right hand. Easy peasy right!. Heh heh. then I may be wrong too....what do I know!

Your music is simply beautiful, thank you for creating such emotional and amazing songs ! Playing some of your pieces is what inspired me to get back to learning piano, thanks :D I've just got one question, how did you start with making music ? your songs really touch people's souls, and I hope one day I'll be able to make songs that speak to people's souls as well ^^
@syts5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm honoured that I could inspire you to get back into piano! My songs start off as improv - I pick a key signature, find a chord progression I like, and just start messing around. Eventually I come up with a short single-note melody that's catchy, then I try to build off that. Once it's a little longer, I go back through and try to make it more elaborate by challenging myself - add in extra notes, try fingerings or runs that I can't do with my limited experience level, etc... and finally I Play it, over and over and over until I work out all the kinks. I make the process sound easier than it is, and it usually takes me 6-8 weeks once I get started to finish a song, but the end result is always worth it. Good Luck with your music! Just keep working at it and you'll get there!

Please continue using your amazing talents! I'm intrigued ... what was it that drew you to the Mason & Hamlin? 😊😊
@syts3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words, Karen 🤗 I have 2 more that I have finished but still need to record them on video, and am working on a 3rd. I wish I could say the Mason & Hamlin was mine (it's a 1908 fully restored 😍) but it's in the sanctuary at my church and they graciously let me use it for my videos. My apartment doesn't allow pianos, so I just have my Roland keyboard with headphones on as seen in a couple of my other vids.

Thanks for your reply! 😊 So looking forward to hearing your next compositions!! Any idea when you'll be making the videos? You and that 1908 M&H truly compliment each other! 😊 Please thank your church for sharing such a fabulous instrument! I had the opportunity to play a fully restored 1930 M&H here in Texas several times. It was absolutely incredible. 😍 Another question, if you'd care to respond ... Would you comment on your creative process from taking an idea or simple melody to your completed work? Where do you get your inspiration? Thank you! 😊
