I have old irons like these in my sewing room, they come from my ancestors. I keep them for holding my fabrics when I cut them. Of course I cleaned them and renovated. If you renovate them too, you'll see that make very beautiful fashionable decorations. People are crazy now about all these old things. 🙏🙏✌✌💖💖💖💖💖💖

BRAVO Rusty !!! What a beautiful weapon ! Baptiste and Quentin would be crazy to have found this weapon. Apart from safes, what they love to dig off above all, is weapons, specially weapons from the 1st or the 2nd World Wars. 👍👍✌✌💖💖

The old iron "foot" with an handle in iron too, was used by the shoemaker to put the leather on it in order to sew it into a shape of shoe. Superbe ! Belle découverte.... I wonder if the shoes was really similar (because they made them one by one !!!) lol... Thanks a lot youngsters for this video ! I've learnt so much ! THANK YOU ! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Thank you so much for these explanations Mary ! I didn't know that the "keys" was so ancient ! I had read, in some archives of Pompéï, that the nights were so unsafe that the inhabitants of this city had to put large wooden beams in notches on their doors to prevent entry at night ! And the city of Pompéï was destroyed by a volcano in 79 AD ! So I thought that the invention of the key was much more recent than that ! 4000 years ! It's incredible !

That spike with the wood in Glen is a ferrule for the bottom of a walking stick the spike is removable for roads and streets and the spike is attached for fields or sludgy ground so it sticks in and doesn't slip

My parents old house had a lock like the ones you find in the river. The house was built in the 1920’s. I can hardly believe that was a hundred years ago. My nephew lives in it now. I love antique keys, the more ornate the better! You guys are always good for a laugh. Thanks so much!

Glen= Dead on mate. Likely for a water valve or a gas valve. Congrats to Alison on her 1st toy gun and the cannon ball. Steve- Nice find on the gren & the rifles. 20:29- Nice very old "standard type" axe. Major collectors item here in the PNW because of all the logging. (Were you aware that broad axes came in right and left hand types for squaring logs and ship building?) 29:09 Possibly a hand made plum bob. Great job on the sad iron!

The thing you thought was an arrowhead Glen, I think it is the end of a hiking walking stick, I had one almost identical that I bought in Switzerland when I was a lad well over 50 years ago, it’s almost identical and it looks like it’s going into the end of a wooden ‘stick’ ??

I hope Christi gets well soon. I just got told I need a knee replacement. But with my Cancer Treatments, not sure if I can get the surgery! will have to find out in 4 weeks. But really, let Christi know I'm sending her healing prayers! The item that has the pointed metal piece that screws out, could be a framers plumbob. for finding levels.

Peaky ? This kind of "iron cross" : In Provence, we had this kind of tools, when I was young : The water was confined in a canal but each farmer, could use this kind of cross, to lift the traps that blocked the water and be able to irrigate their fields ?!? Well I think... It looks like this...
