They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. I’m planning to buy one to set it up on my 3D printer, it’s perfect since it’s small and flexible enough, since I usually leave for work with while i’m still printing. This way, together with the smart plug, If I ever see one of my prints failing I could turn my the printer off remotely to not waste any filament.

These spy cameras have limited usability due to their limited configurability but mostly due to their buggy firmware and phone app. I have used three different models that look very similar to each other and the one in the video. All had unsupported firmware, so don't expect ongoing updates that resolve all the software bugs. The iMiniCam and HDMiniCam software are very similar to each other and have had software updates in the past, but still contain several annoying bugs. One of the greatest limitations is the inability of the app to be able to connect (as it used to be able to) from the Internet to WiFi network. No instructions or advice are provided on how to do this in the app (it used to happen invisibly through UDP tunnelling I believe) but you can set up port forwarding on your router to access the IP camera from a browser. Sadly, however, you will struggle to get the phone app connected to your home network from the Internet as there is no app ability to change the camera's access port from port 80. It would, therefore, leave your home network rather vulnerable to hacker attacks with port 80 left open.

Yeah that's the thing. Many of these are using old PCBs that are floating around the market in China. For someone more technically-minded it's best to go with something like an Arduino or Rasp Pi Pico for the brains. That way you can just program your own firmware or just customize the many programs that are out there, with just a novice-level of programming experience.

This type of cameras is the best ones, imho, because u can hide the batteries, plates and over parts of camera above u ceiling, or anywhere else, and just put a small objectives in visible point, but anyway they're so small, that nobody will be able to see them

So i notice these small holes all over my ceiling , size of a needle point about 2 mm maybe a tiny bit smaller , so i fill the holes in all rooms , last night i here someone moving around in the crawl space , today i look and find about 10 new holes , i call my landlord she says why would anyone be up there poking holes all over your cielings ? I have same type camera but it doesn't have the red plug for the battery...anyway the instructions were loosely translated and only showed the app info with I installed. There are to buttons on the camera one is a switch that appears to turn the camera on and off. There is another push button. No idea what it does. I installed a SD card. Does this record automatically? Can I set to motion only. So confusing

No, I have had several of these and they all fail when the ribbon gets damaged after a few months, they are really fragile and I would not recommend these ribbon cameras.

A lot of these cameras P2P, comes from China. I purchase so many of these and they turn out to be junk. I have made Amazon aware of this multiple times and they do nothing. When you contact the seller and the developer they ignore your emails. Two different cameras using two different software, no longer works because the server required for the software/app to work is no longer up. I'm so done buying this junk.
