That transfer case should have a support bracket that threads to those two large threaded holes and to the right bottom bell housing bolt at the front of the transmission. That will help with keeping it from leaking at the transfer case adapter gasket and I recall help keep the transmission bell housing from cracking.

That level of restoration is MAJOR work. However, the time together, the skills learned, and the finished product that Clancy will be able to say he did are forever memories! Keep wrenchen 👊

The joys of headers never ends until you realize the cast iron headers are good to 4000RPM and you put them back on. Can hardly wait for the stereo installation and nobody needs 10inch subwoofers in a cab that small hen a pair of 8s will sound better and be easier to drive. Alpine components for the long run win. Keep! on wrenchin!

@seanyancy1809 I had two 10inch subwoofers in my 92 chevy step side it sounded great. I had it professionally installed because I didn't know what I was doing. Lol

The amp for the subwoofer needs to have its own wire . You can use a 4 gauge from the battery with a fuse as close to the battery as possible and that runs directly to the amp or amps . As for light bars or auxiliary lights you can run a 12 gauge wire from the battery to a fuse block and that can feed any lights or accessories .
@richardreed80912 ай бұрын
Yall did a great job on the headers ,and I absolutely would use a fuse box where you said ,it's perfect and will keep a clean look .❤❤

Little hint Cody. Dont use that plastic tubing for the oul pressure gage. By my past experiences they always leak or end up rubbing a hole in it somewhere. Use copper tubing that way it can be pulled up off everything and you dont have to worry about a hole being rubbed in it.
@phillipbecker43932 ай бұрын
That's a good idea for that fuse box. Keep everything clean.

Good day y'all. I had a 83 Chevrolet Scottsdale. The only trouble I had with that truck was the dang collector gaskets blowing out and leaking. I was able to get a aluminum gasket that lasted longer than the others. Nice truck y'all.

The amp for the subwoofer is going to need a dedicated power wire for its self other than that you could make you’re own fuse block or power distribution block the radio “should” have its own factory wires ran don’t cry when you have to cut the dash to make the modern style radio fit if you don’t go with the vintage replacement

Cody just fyi, we have a 69’ Nova we drag race. We upgraded our coil and plug wires a year or two ago. The guy who sold us the stuff from Fire Core said NEVER put those boots or sleeves over the spark plug boots/wires. They can catch fire! I didn’t realize it either but he warned us it would happen at some point!! Fuse block is a great idea, it does clean up wiring. However I’d place it inside the cab. He will be daily driving in rain, mud, etc. It’ll keep it dry and keep you from chasing wiring gremlins as much!
@mikebonge72062 ай бұрын
Look for auto fuse block I think you have to have a fuse and relay going each one of add on. Sun woofer amp all those add on. To keep them from overheating. Look at stereo equipment rig up also

I built a 1977 Chevy pickup and I had the exhaust on within 30 minutes straight out the back two pipes
@ohfknowned2392 ай бұрын
You could have wrapped the last part of pipe after bolted on I had to do that on mine and worked fine.

Cody you definitely want to soak your header wrap in some water before installing them onto the headers for sure!!! By soaking the header wrap in some water will help make it wrap up nice and tight and look much more professional done!!! If you don’t soak it you will definitely not be able to get it as tight as if it was wet!! Just saying!!! Even if it says no need to soak in water I still soak it in water and it helps out a bunch!!!
