It actually helps, I got 100+ more fps on community deathmatch servers! I have a 5600x and 2080 Super which I believe is enough for CS2 but I still do get the occasional drop down to 120fps when playing faceit on some of the more demanding maps

dude how do you get 900fps on a 3060, i have a 7950x and 4080 and am playing 4:3 1440p (1920x1440) and cant get anywhere near that

The 900 fps is for 4:3 1280*960, 16:9(1920*1080) I get average of around 600fps. If you are playing 1440 p i l suggest set msaa to none as the pixels are already quite clear

tested on potato PC I run 2 times each tests. GTX 1050 Ti, i7 3770K, 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz. 1280x960 (Shadow low, FSR Disabled, Rest low.) No background apps running No launch options, Steam overlay enabled: FPS: Avg=135.2, P1=78.3 No launch options, Steam overlay disabled: FPS: Avg=136.2, P1=77.9 Performance launch options, Steam overlay enabled: FPS: Avg=124.3, P1=74.4 Performance launch options, Steam overlay disabled: FPS: Avg=132.1, P1=75.0 i dont think this will help me lol

and also the performance launch options I was using: -nojoy +violence_hblood 0 -threads 8 -high +cl_forcepreload 1 +engine_low_latency_sleep_after_client_tick true -noreflex -vulkan

@@HardBucksYT do not use launch options specially -vulkan as it makes performance worse on many pcs. Thanks for conducting the tests. I hope restarted steam when you disabled the overlay. Again thanks for the data

On your PC you dont lose fps because your cpu is much stronger then ur gpu (bottleneck) and steam overlay is cpu only if you had a stronger gpu you would feel a difference on my setup with a i5 14600k and rx7800xt i get like 10-15 fps more with steam overlay off in cs2

i got the same exact fps within margin of error [VProf] FPS: Avg=823.9, P1=285.3 7950x3d 7900xtx - 720p low
