I was "in business" for 10 years and earned good money. But business is business and the "friends" you make in business will disappear the day the money stops flowing. People are in it for the money at the end of the day. I don't't consider being a KZbinr as being in business, not even showbusiness. But im the old fashioned guy, too old and wary of the digital age.

​​@@dmd5060ok my comment wasn't the most elaborated. I don't think a KZbinr is a showbusiness-performer. They're not doing anything live in front of an audience. I categorize them as entertainers. Sure some make money from their channels but I wouldn't call it a business. The revenue is from ads, not money from actual customers ie the viewers. But this whole topic isn't that important to me.

Oh, what a great memorable advice and advise. Yes, I totally agree with the sentiments expressed in the text and There is a welworth proverb stating "MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL THE EVILS". MONEY IS NOT STABLE AND WILL THROW YOU OUT OF THE VINCINITY OF THE PERSON WHEN YOU ARE IN FINANCIAL CRISIS AND EVEN IF YOU TRY TO VISIT HIM JUST FOR RESPECT, HE WILL SAY WHO ARE YOU, AS IF I HAVE COME TO HIM FOR ASSISTANCE. BUT WHILE YOU ARE FINANCIALLY STABLE AND SOUND, WHEN YOU VISIT THE SAME PERSON WHO DISGUSTED AND ABUSED YOU, WILL ACCORD YOU WITH RESPECT AND HONOUR AND WILL ASK YOU "HOW DO YOU DO?". Hey Evan, it's been a while! This was a great talk that might relate to my values. I would love your advice, though... I've been nearly 3 months unemployed, but whilst working on building a startup organisation with my mentor by presenting my skit at a free watch party for its marketing efforts, as well as networking and fulfillment purposes, I have immediate MMA expenses (although they're currently on hold) and currently no safety net for them. My mentor also said that he is still figuring out ways to generate "$200/month" through only pursuing his passions whilst encouraging me to focus on my long-term goals for financial stability. Do you suggest I return to the workplace part-time or consider alternative income sources?

Hey James - Getting a job is about acquiring skills and getting paid to do it. So if your ultimate goal is to build a business that supports you, and not just a $200 / month hobby, then I'd start with what skills are you missing right now? Is it Sales? Marketing? SEO? Programming? Then it's what's the fastest way to learn that skill? If you want to get better at sales, it might be trying to learn on your own, or you could join a company that has great sales training built in which will shortcut your path. If you're just getting a job to pay the bills, that's fine. But even better is to get a job where you're going to learn the skills to set yourself up for the success that you're after. Good luck
