I have a question for you. I'm new to the game, been playing a mere few months. I've noticed that you and Kudos show native resolution gameplay, while Alka and Athenio use some variation of 'Thicc'. Is there really any benefit to playing on odd resolutions, from your vantage? I have k's and k's of hours in Rocket League, so I do have experience with playing a game for years. And I've been playing on a 21:9 ultrawide, but that's neither here nor there b/c I'm quite used to the extra real estate for peripheral queues, and figured out that one step down on the res slider creates the thicc-effect on 21:9 native.

There are many videos on it, but 16:9 or 16:10 (what most people play on) makes people look thinner or normal and something like 4:3 makes people look larger, making it easier to hit shots in theory. Its all preference, and I don’t really know if thick resolutions just make people look bigger or if maybe it zooms in your game so that people are actually bigger and easier to hit, but if you’re used to your native resolution then there isn’t really a reason to switch off of it.

@@Loepul 4:3 is habit for a lot of old cs:go or cs source players since it's what they are used to. stretching out the models is true as it makes heads look bigger, players are closer to you, and it makes pixel angles less thin and easier to peak. they do also make other players appear to move horizontally faster, so it has pros and cons. I know stretched resolutions like that can look ugly for content creation. that and personal preference makes ppl use the default resolutions
