Curious: My daughter just recently got accepted to the business schools of UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and USC. All the financial packages are very similar and she will be living on campus. She needs to decide soon. I would like her to attend USC because of the strong alumni network but she is leaning towards UCI, which I don’t feel has that same network. Just on this very limited information - which school would you recommend?

Huge congratulations to your daughter! Great options! I recommend having your daughter find some recent graduates and current students that are in business programs for her to see which is more a match for her based on culture, curriculum, opportunity after college. She can find these students by searching for alumni pages for the schools, ask the career center/alumni center if they have contacts, search on KZbin/TikTok/social media. What matters most is the connects/networks + curriculum (which is usually comparable for top schools she got into). Hope this helps!

Just saw from your linkedin that you're from San Jose too! Bay Area natives! I'm a product of the UCs too - UCSD alum! Any interest in collaboration if you are still in the Bay? Would love to connect!

hi! i got waitlisted at uc berkeley + ucsd + uci it's already been 5 days since their opt-in/opt-out waitlist decision deadline was due -- can i still send a LOCI to each one and would it be of any benefit? thank youu (i've already opted-into each one)

Good question, UCI doesn't take into account LOCIs as stated in their website. UCSD & Berkeley don't directly state not to reach out however it may be difficult to find an AO's contact information. I think with the limited time before decision you can send one if you find a contact information. Doesn't hurt to try though!
