Sweetypoo2164 I understand what you mean about toxic masculinity but many of the woke ideology think that “toxic” is a man being manly. There has been a liberal push to feminize men to the point that the men are acting like women. Some take that so far they mutilate their bodies to try to appease the woke culture. We have allowed that mindset to ruin our culture and the return to masculine men who are not cowed by the fringe liberals is what it will take to put this country back on the path to a healthy culture.

AWESOME video Cody! 100% spot on true wisdom. Am SO blessed to have had parents who lived thru the Great Depression and WW2 and were kind enough to pass the lessons they learned on to me and my brother. As a widow I don't live the same lifestyle as you Cody BUT how you live provides inspiration to me. Your recent videos on both the new closet and the mowing off the open areas as a fire prevention issue, caused me to clean out a closet, and clear and area close to the house that I had been putting off doing. When Ron died, after being left disabled by a drunk driver, and me being his caregiver for 14 years, I faced over $200k in medical bills the 10% insurance company didn't cover. Took me until a few years ago to finally pay off all those bills. But I did it! Downsized, cut costs, and did what I HAD to do. It also is about knowing the difference between a WANT and a NEED. And understanding that your needs are different from mine. It's called being a ADULT! I don't do pity parties!

I have been dead broke myself. It easy for people to take a snapshot of what I have, but don't see the blood, sweat and tears that went into earning it! You are right on my friend about the "poor" mindset. It is a Biblical reaching as well. There are dozens of Proverbs that teach about the poor/lazy mindset. I've always said "the Ghetto is the people, not the place...". I drive a 17 year old truck that I bought new 17 years ago and a 15 year old car that people have drooled over and offered to buy from me on the spot. WHY? They are in pristine shape and look better than many 5 year old vehicles....because I take care of what I have and I don't have the ghetto mindset. The last place I rented was a perfect example of this. I treated it with respect and like it was my own. When we did the walk through with the owner at the end of the lease, she was in shock....pure and utter shock at how the place was in better shape and CLEANER than when we moved in. Mindset.....

I have some friends who lived beyond their means, and didn't save for retirement and are now in trouble financially. Our next plan is to get out of SF bay area where we can live more independently. Your channel has always been an inspiration to me regarding your lifestyle and independent living. Thanks again for that.

If this video motivates and excites you, you get it and are on the right path. If it offends you and you gave it a thumbs down, you are not ready to succeed in life. Take Wranglerstar's words to heart. We live in the land of opportunity. Anything really is possible if and only if you believe it and are ready to roll up your sleeves and get at it. Great video!

Excellent perspective. It’s amazing to me that the harder one works, the “luckier” they get.

I remember being in your situation. No mortgage, no debts. The problem was that my neighbors voted in a HOA: Home Owner's Association. Then we had to pay their dues and their fines. This took the wind out being mortgage free.

Great rant! Mostly because of making clear the difference between broke and poor. I have been wealthy as well as broke. And I’m thankful for the last. Because it had to bring out my creativity. As an example: my business as a freelancer was slow so I couldn’t buy my usual organic food. Living in a suburban area I wanted to learn to grow my own food but had a lack of soil and resources to buy equipment. One day, riding my bicycle I came to meet this old fellow with a vegetable stand on the side of the road. I got to talk to him and he told me he was a retired bulb farmer that used his greenhouse and the piece of land he didn’t sell to organically grow vegetables. He struggles with his eyesight and age so I offered to help out as a volunteer and if he wanted to be my mentor. For more then a year now we work the land and the greenhouse with tomatoes together a couple of hours a week. We developed a friendship, I get my vegetables and my education for free and he get’s the help and the social interaction. Educational workshops and tools would have cost me a fortune with the same result on the table (if I was lucky). If you don’t have money, you often have an abundance of something else (like time). Invest that time wisely and with creativity and you will be rich.

Really liked this video, especially the part about our political climate and moving away from the city. I think people need to hear this . I watch politics closely.

My wife and I are working hard to get our homestead plan in place, and we look forward to having our own land to work. God has blessed your family, and will continue to do so, as he has blessed our family because we have put him first. We are excited to see what is on the horizon.

My father and mother were blue collar workers. Dad's mom died when he was 6. He was raised by his father and uncle. My mom was one of seven children. I grew up not knowing what poor was. I never felt needy for the basics in life. Hard work was what was expected to succeed.

To all the complainers and little minds that are envious....a quote from my Father he told me one Son , " don't complain and tell others about your problems, Half the people don't care that you have troubles and the other half in all likelyhood and glad you have them" Make it work, regardless of you situation.

Good rant! Found out a few weeks ago that every penny I had saved over the last 15 years would be gone in a court debate... Decided after the shock that it was a lesson on how to make enough to replace the lost savings, and how to continue to make enough money to replace the lost savings and save for retirement.

I look up to. You inspire me with every video. I'm currently working as a Wildland Fire Fighter in Oregon. I grew up in a broke family but my mom worked hard, she has helped me my whole life so I can be where I'm at today. I hope to save up enough money in the future and buy land so I can take care of my mom like she did for me. Thank you for all of these great videos, you have taught me so much.

I know this is one of your older videos and I’m not entirely sure how I miss it, but it resonates with me. I live in a family built and lived in 4th generation homestead. My great grandfather came back from WW I, married his high school sweetheart and together the built this house with the money he saved while serving and she saved while being a nurse stateside. A smallish local stone and lumber farmhouse on about 15 acres of land parceled out from my great grandfather’s father. When the time came and after returning home from WW II my grandfather inherited it. He built an addition by hand, after working a full day as a heave equipment mechanic. All built with the same local lumber and stone. When the time came, my father inherited the homestead and kept it standing and in good order until I retired back in 2020 from a 20 year career in the Marine Corps. Now my wife and 4 children live here. Farming and growing as much as we can to be as self sufficient as possible. Doing a bit more year by year. I fully understand that I am truly blessed to have this place full of family memories and love, built by hand and maintained with love and hope. Hope that the next generation will continue to build and progress. Hope that they will be just a bit better then we are. None of my family have ever been “rich”. We have all been folks who serve our village, country and god as best we can. Firm lower middle class who made the best with what we have. One day, when the time comes, my children, lord willing, will continue the legacy we have tried so hard to build for them. We have never been poor. We, by all real measures of wealth, are rich beyond words. Thank you for your videos and heartfelt messages. I’ll be watching!

You absolutely nailed it regarding having that "poor mentality". People who have that mentality don't realize that they are actually limiting themselves by keeping that in their mindset. Words have meaning. Period. The phrase "check yourself before you wreck yourself" may have been a stupid saying in a rap song a long time ago, but it's oh so true. Sure life is hard but it's up to YOU to work harder every single day to improve YOUR OWN situation. 3 years ago I was laid off my job of 20+ years, WHILE I was out on medical leave. Yeah it sucked big time but I didn't sit around saying "whoa is me". I turned the negative into a positive. I took my lifelong passion for photography and started my own aerial photography business. Sure I was broke for awhile, surviving on ramen with some fresh veggies thrown in, but I busted my @ss and worked hard every single day to build up my business. I had limited business experience and limited experience flying drones but I didn't let the negativity have ANY place in my mindset or thoughts. Determined to no longer be dependent on somebody else's paycheck while making THEM & THEIR company richer and richer off the sweat of my brow, I vowed never again. I stuck a post it note on my bathroom mirror that reads "I AM A SUCCESS AND MY BUSINESS WILL FLOURISH". I read (& still read) that post it note at least 3-4 times a day, whenever I'm in bathroom. The power of words, the power of suggestion & the power of Christ, along with a little hard work will go a VERY LONG way in improving WHATEVER situation you're in. People seriously need to turn off their teLIEvisions and get out there and make THEIR life great again. Stop worrying about what you don't have and start working with what you DO have. In time it will change your life for the better. Keep up the good work my friend & have a great weekend! ✌️

I’ve been watching this channel for a couple years now. Off and on. But I cannot believe that I missed this one. This is a great message!!! Thank you sir! Please don’t forget defense. I certainly don’t mean being all gun ho and waiting for a fight. But just being able to defend your food stores everything you’ve accumulated to survive a major catastrophe in society. The people in the cities aren’t dumb and will come looking to where the food is grown. If you don’t have a defense plan. All you’re doing is gathering supplies for the toughest guy on the block. Not trying to scare you. Just a heads up. God speed and god bless

You should give free ranging chickens a go. Not sure if yall have chickens already, but it's a solid supply of protein from eggs for the whole family.

You do have to shelter them from predators though, and the entire flock can drop like flies from disease if you're not careful.
@domcap705 жыл бұрын
@@Colddirector yea i know. You just need to build a coupe (sp?) that they can run into to hide from predators
@Colddirector5 жыл бұрын
@@domcap70 That won't necessarily save them from persistent predators like foxes, though. Slippery little bastards can chew through wire, slip in and kill your entire flock just like that. Keeping chickens is still an excellent protein source, but you'll run into trouble if you don't think it through first.
