Evo won where it matters, catching people slipping on a roll 🚀 Goes to show big hp isn’t everything 📈 And for those who don’t understand how power to weight works, Google/KZbin is your friend 😅 The R8 also just came of a back to back race from another battle so will have been heat soaked like mad. Taking noting from Sam, the fastest car won on the day 100%, even id prefer the evo 😂

@elpatron1010 they hit 1000bhp pretty easily with the turbo conversions. Up to 12/1300 when properly tuned, it’s not too wild a figure for them - but the difference in peak power and power to weight is what we see here where the evo is in its peak powerband at every point.

@elpatron1010this car may well have 1000hp and just not working great that day, or “should” have that amount. These engines with turbos are capable of 900-1000bhp on a pretty safe map. Obviously turboing engines that are NA as standard comes with its pitfalls. But genuinely the more happens here than u can see - 1000bhp is peak power, the Audi won’t make that 100% of the way down the strip. The evo on the other hand has just such a short gearbox it will be pretty much in the peak power band all the way down a 1/4 strip.

Amazing race. Friendly drivers + amazing cars + OG !!! Everytime I would go with this tuned Evo 8. I am a fan of old school cars with enough power and manual transmissions. By my own, I drive a tuned and weight reduced BMW 330D (E46). Also with a manual transmission. This Evo 8 against Affy's GTR would be next level 😁 I would also join the OG battles, but I am from Germany. Sadly to far away. Best regards Chris
