In the cities you are technically meant to get a parking permit for kei cars, but you can do it after getting rego (at least in the city I lived in). So only nerds bothered getting them for their kei cars.

Yeah there's a few loop holes. One of my friend's who lives in Tokyo needed to store his R33 gtst for a month so my GF and I went for a month holiday and borrowed the Skyline haha
