God i love this channel you show watches and whats brands that ARE INCREDIBLE!Not just keep on riding the coat tails of rolex and its name or the give or take 10 other popular mainstream watches that everyone and anyone keeps talking on how these are these best watches ever made and that they are everyones grail because they are whats popular. We dont actually have any tastes or opinions of our own. That is way marco and this channel are the greatest

The dial is very beautiful but it’s way too expensive for the la joux Perret movement it has, which is really just a miyota 9015 with micro adjustment that’s been made in Switzerland. I’m sorry I just don’t do companies that take Chinese and Japanese movements and make them in Switzerland and then say oh it’s Swiss made. And while the movement meet be made in Switzerland the design of the movement came from a Japanese or Chinese company so to me it doesn’t count. To me for a movement to be Swiss made it needs to be built in Switzerland and the design of the movement must also have come from and been founded by a Swiss company making it a Swiss made movement design as well. Due to companies doing this you have to be very careful of buying watches from companies that chain to have their own in house movements, cuz what you don’t know she what they won’t tell you is that the design of their in house movement actually came from a Chinese or Japanese movement company. Yema and nomos have both allegedly used movement designs from Chinese movement companies and just tweaked them in get minor ways , and then pass them off as their own in house movements. The same way la joux perret added a micro adjustment screw to the miyota 9015 and then now they call it their own movement. That’s wrong on so many levels. If they were an honest decent brand they would add a label with every movement they sold that says: “this movement is based on a miyota 9015”. And to not do that is really just trying to lie to your customers tbh. So yeah don’t like the la joux perret, it’s really just a Japanese seiko movement and I don’t like the soprod a10 either cuz it’s really just a seiko movement. It came from a seiko design that soprod bought that seiko used to put in their grand seiko and credor watches and when grand seiko developed a new movement they sold it, their old one, to soprod. Yeah I think I such with selita which used to be a branch of eta and stp which may have roots in China but atleast they are making movements that come from Swiss designs. I can’t believe these awful companies find a loop hole to sell ppl Chinese and Japanese movements and call them Swiss made. That’s deception on a whole different level and I’ll never put my money into one of those companies that is trying to deceive their customers

Will send this video to everyone that asks why luxury watches are so expensive ❤
@seagletime38485 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t call these luxury watches, not in the traditional sense. these are incredible art pieces that happen to tell time, a rolex doesn’t cost what it costs for the same reasons as these watches. big name luxury watch brands mass produce their pieces in factories, and they cost a lot mostly because of the prestige and materials. something like this you do pay for the materials but damascus steel isn’t as expensive as gold, you really pay for the craftsmanship and the time and effort that went into producing the art. I don’t fully disagree with your take tho, some luxury brands do really put in the time and effort that makes the price tag worth it still, just not most of them.

Damascus steel is a term that has been watered down so much that it doesn't mean anything anymore. It's not from the Near East, it's not ancient or made from imported ingots from India. It's nothing but regular old steel with a banding and mottling pattern which hardly qualifies as Damascus steel.

🤓The meaning of words change all the time. Keep up!!!
@WolfHeathen5 ай бұрын
@@kevyriverside8082 The meaning words only change if their definitions change. Too many amateur blacksmiths on KZbin and TikTok have watered down the meaning of "Damascus steel", making ordinary people think it's just a pretty pattern when it's actually a lot more than that. There's a reason for why Damascus steel smithing is considered a lost art. You can't actually make it anymore. Whatever people are making nowadays is an imitation, not the real thing.
