I am having a ton of fun with this. Nintendo did a great job with this. Solo or online is very entertaining. My only complaint is that there were not more OG nes game variations. Where is Mike Tyson's Punch Out? Worth the $60. Pins and replica cartridge are high quality.

I think one of the things that was done correctly was the interface and loading times. Nintendo recognized this was a game where you would be dying over and over so they made it so that you can reset over and over instanteously. It would've been a pain and detriment to the game if you had to keep waiting every time you died.

I think he’s joking. At one point he says it’s disappointing that a game called NES World championship doesn’t have snes, GameCube,etc games on it. Then he talks about it’s hard to restart a game when it’s L+R but he describes backing out and restarting which is obviously not correct. Basically the game is a speed running game made up of exercises disguised as challenges to train you for the final challenges which are to complete a game with added rules

I don't care abt the leaderboard. It would just get filled up with perfect S performances. I'm digging the quick game play and achievement pins. Too much to ask for other console content right out of the gate for $30. Good DLC idea.

I really didn't think I would like it and find the more I play it the more I like it. If there were leaderboards there would be way to many duplicate high scores. I'm happy with going for S tiers and weekly challenges... It's so quick and easy to restart the level not sure what your talking about there.

As someone who was a kid when the snes was the latest thing i think the nes stuff sucks 99% of stuff released even here in Japan for the nes was complete crap, why nintendo still keeps digging up the nes's rotten corpse to pull off parts baffles me just cremate it already. Give us a Goemon collection or a 摩訶摩訶2dhd remake

As the 'online challenges' are other user replays timed to start with your button press, what happens when whatever servers go offline other than the likelihood of only One Player being an option? I have had fun trying to get better at my speedruns, and the single player challenges are similar to NES Remix, but it's past time for them to finally port the Remix pack over.

The idea is there. However, the execution should have been better. Some of the legendary challenges are lame. Metroid in particular. Why not have it as the Mother Brain boss? I also noticed some slow down sometimes when doing challenges. Idk if they didn’t optimize the emulation for this game, but when it happens, it’s very noticeable. I have fun trying to unlock all the challenges, but it should be better. It’s a solid 7/10 for me, especially pushing $30 for it on the eShop.

The thing is, you re trying to compare this game with the 2015 - 2017 chapmionship. But Nintendo is trying to replicate the 1992 championship (i can be wrong on the date, but it was in the 90´), thats why its only NES games and nothing else

If that is real gameplay… it looks horrendous. The Nintendo cult never learn 😅😂 I can’t imagine paying for that. I buy bad games but this looks extra lazy. It’s a shame the emulator scene has taken a hard hit. Nintendo doesn’t deserve money when they release this underwhelming garbage.
