It's better to go back to the old world, with an expansion to the present day. In the series, there are more characters, more abilities, new discoveries, more charms, weapons, accepting quests in the town, or upgrading the Witcher School to increase abilities. There's a lot more to play and develop. Oh, and don't forget to send me the old world. I've been waiting for years. #Congratulations on the new game

No idea for what the minis are here... Just for marking which cards you take? Makes no sense, you could just take the cards from the board no need to use those minis lol
