New subscriber here! Love is so needed. I was put on an antidepressant at age 16. I had withdrawals when I came off of that drug… each antidepressant I tried to get away from led me to the next because of withdrawals. I thought I was broken. I’m slowly tapering off of my 4th med. I was never broken.

My life is ruined by antidepressants and there's no one i can blame cause no accountability is for psychiatrists who have been ruining people's life with them its a whole drug mafia system and people often commit suicide not cause of depression but cause of the serious side effects of antidepressants and there must be serious charges for butchers who are playing with people's life.

I still get brain zaps 6 years after getting off SSRIs. The only thing that worked for my depression was microdosing mushrooms.

I agree with you 100%, a VA Psychiatrist at Stockton VA Clinic named Cecile Solivan prescribed 10mg Valiums (Benzo’s) for a few yrs, when my son didn’t improve she prescribed 20mg every morning for another 2 yrs, then she prescribed 30mg of Valiums for another 2 yrs, then she wanted to prescribe 40mg of Valiums but I started looking into benzodiazepines and how dangerous they are then I realized that they are the Fkn Dangerous Valiums, well after complaint about her to the VA, nothing happen, they I tried to sue, but not 1 Fkn Attorney would sue her , so I complained to the VA, absolutely nothing happen, she remained at Stockton VA for over 1 more years, while my son continued taking them during the dangerous side effects from tapering down. It’s been a night mare for my son and myself. Then I tried suing the CA for Tardive Dyskinesia, not 1 Attorney from a total of 33 Attorney’s I contacted took the case. I am 81, sick of INCOMPETANT Drs & Attorney’s, they are not interested in helping the patient*s) they aren’t loyal, there the exact same as Big PHARMA whose drugs (AKA medicine) do not cure anyone, they only treat your Symptoms and boy oh boy the “Side Effects” are Dangerous, they include Death, by suicides. Only at that time can you retain an Attorney to Sue the VA, Treating Psychiatrist, actually the VA recently (allowed, recommended that you sue them when they FK up!) So big Fkn PHARMA gets sued for millions of dollars, but they aren’t concerned because they laugh alllllll the way to the Bank with billions of dollars to deposit. Drs get big salaries, Drs get rewards for writing Prescriptions to any patient(s) because they get paid approximately $90 for every three (3) Prescription’s they write. Lol lol, some Drs make more than there Annual salaries from writing Prescription’s only. They can afford the Tesla autos, tailor made clothing, and they to laugh Alllllllll the way to the Bank also. The little guy cries for there deceased, suffering child that leaves there child to also suffer from deceased parent of 20 yr old . Nothing changes and for good reason Drs, Attorney’s also laugh all the way to the Bank, the parent, loved ones cry all the way to the grave yard. Disgusting, sickening, I see no changes in the near future!! My sons life and all vets that have been prescribed Antipsychotics have reduced their life span by 15-25 yrs. No parent should bury there child!!!!

Venlafaxine is a killer. I´m so sure of that statement, I nearly killed my self coming of that drug and I had to get back on 37.5 I could not manege.

Yes me too. 24 years of effexor and 4 years of tapering down from 225 to 20 mg. If I reduce more than 1 bead a month muscle wasting, nerve pain, tinnitus and crippling musculoskeletal pain keep me from walking normally, I'm repeadedly told "is not possible". I didn't have anorexia or balance problems before effexor. I share your suffering. No one understands, thank you for your comment.

225mg apo venlafaxine withdrawals sweat night and it’s unbearable and I’m restless and insomnia. Freezing goosebumps that’s debilitating, amnesia haze. So maybe I should hyper Bolic taper slow ?

Brooke Siem, don’t know you but I like you, sorry you and many others have had to suffer. Yes I am familiar with psychiatrist, Benzodiazepines are excellent help, however they are given for short-term only, which is 3-4 weeks only, however many will prescribe Diazepines for long-term 6-7+ years and you can’t get off of them without help, nor can you stop “cold turkey” you will suffer. Don’t ever go to any of those Dangerous medical clinics that say they can taper you off in 10-20 days, it is not possible, just a waste of money, time & very dangerous. There is a Manuel called the Ashton manual, read that and learn. If you elect to taper off then it must be done slowly, like 10% monthly. I can go on and don’t mind answering questions. Thank you Brooke Siem, you might be able to learn from me. You are young, I am 80 but I do have recipes, formulas for many illness, health issues. I would love to pass info onto you. This doesn't feel possible for me. I was depressed prior to taking the drugs. Very. Antidepressants feel like enough "fresh air" rather than completely "filthy air. " It hasn't been a cure by any means...but the meds give me enough of a cusion to live, if not fully, then enough tot not live in complete and utter darkness😢

My VA doctor gave me Effexor. I’m weaning off of lexapro. at 2.5 mg dealing with some side effects. Live alone so I still get worried but I try to get by
