Usually I find the APFSDS on the T55 to have a disappointing afterpen so in close combat maps I prefer to load the ATGM instead. The distance will be short enough that the lower velocity won’t matter and it almost always pens and 1 shots if you hit center mass on an enemy. On long range maps like Poland or Maginot line I still use the dart for its speed though. The APFSDS isn’t as competitive in an up tier but the ATGM still is!

why do you use APDS-FS so much? My shells consist of 95% APHE and I never found anything that I'd need APDS-FS for as all targets are unarmored at this BR like Leos and Centurions

I don't understand why people bother with aphe. Dart has similar post pen damage but pens a lot more and easier to aim. Sure most tanks are light but not all, and then what do you do when you face smth like a chieftain?

@@denisdenak yeah because if you shoot a dart at an M60'S turret you'll only kill the commander and gunner while the APHE will kill everyone. if I see a chieftain you say? shoot the lower plate. ''What if he's hull down?!'' that's never the case and if it is, that spot is nowhere near where I usually go. But let's say I do see one hull down.... I go the opposite way or I shoot and load the dart, simple as that. What about you? there's a side on TAM, oh shit you missed a bit and shot the back of it! congrats! you hit absolutely nothing. Meanwhile my APHE killed his whole turret crew.

@@ABoredDemon that's my point, when you're using aphe you have to aim a lot more carefully. And you don't always get that opportunity, every second counts. When I see m60, I just shoot it in the center, anywhere around upper/lower plate will kill the whole crew. Lmao wdym it's never the case that the chieftain hides their lower plate? That's how normal people play it. And he'd basically need to stay right in front of you and not angle at all. And what, you think they're gonna just stand there while you're loading a dart? As to the TAM, why would I miss hitting it in literally center of mass? You're entertaining ridiculous scenarios that almost never happen. I one shot TAMs with darts most of the times just shooting it anywhere in the turret. Hell, even shooting tanks through the engine will often kill them whereas aphe would be stopped. In MOST situations dart is a lot more useful. Sure you can keep some aphe for those weird situations when you only see part of the tank, but even then you're better off with HE or ATGM for overpressure with the added benefit of killing helis from afar.

@@denisdenak yeah well have fun going hull down with a chieftain on Alaska or US desert. Can you find a hull down spot? yes. Where is that spot? in the back of the map where you can't see shit therefor that chieftain is no threat. And so fucking what if he angles? hit the LFP, if he over angles shoot through the side, easy as that. killing all turret crew face on on the TAM sounds like a bunch of BS fam. What can I say? I'm not a dart pleb who needs a lolpen shell in order to get kills. The fact that I top team with APHE is enough
