Yone e gives much more than w. E is massive cdr and bonus true damage conversion. W gives 1% more max health damage and increases the base damage by 10. The shield scales with level not ability rank.

Ive been playing around with a similar build. I have been going 2 of IE/BT/SB to get full crit plus good healing and damage, then terminus, jaksho, and either wits or Deaths Dance. 100% crit, good life steal, strong resistances. Its pretty insane.

Terminus/JakShos seems like it could be good on Jax - you use both halves of the pen, you've got innate tank stats from your ult that will get boosted by the JakSho's passive, you stack terminus passive fast

In my experience, when you choose to go tank, even if you can do damage... if the enemy spends 2+ ults to kill you, its worth. That which has the potential to kill multiple allies, is spent on removing you.
