My Dad found found one of these online on Craigslist and he loves it a lot but said there was a big learning curve for it but he said it’s worth it for sure.

Hey brother I always think that the bazooka is faster for bigger areas but when it comes to small tight spaces I honestly love the super taper better even those high up angles I will do with the super taper do all the stand-up angles with the Bazooka it is definitely worth the money but a pain in the butt to clean especially if you don't have the garden hose handy but you can still do a good job cleaning your bazooka with just your pump and gooseneck and a bucket of warm water great video

The saying "work smart, not hard," comes to mind. Anyway you look at it though, drywalling is hard for the inexperienced. Thanks for a great video!

When I was an apprentice working on locomotives, I was always dirty, but my Journeyman was always clean except for his hands.. I asked him how does he stay so clean.. His response. He works with his hands, not his body.. I looked around at everyone and noticed, they almost were hugging their work, like I was, getting dirty..

Every new tool , I consider this… Is the storage possible with my personal circumstance? (how much space I got in my van or do I need a bigger van haha ), next whats the the “set up (product placement) and “set down (clean up) time for the tool and finally , how much time do I save ($ made and frustrations saved) ,,,, all 3 factors can change some harder than others. Spring is here … let’s get ready to Rumble!

Hi, as a novice to some extent I am remodeling my home. With the up to date technology constantly improving machines would you please tell me what sander is the best with a vacuum attachment. Since, We are living in our home I would like to keep the dust down. Keep the price under $200.00. Thank you.

I've looked and looked at getting one. For me the biggest issue is the learning curve. I only do a few jobs big enough for it to pay as most of my work is small remodels and repair. So what will happen is that I'll keep staring over and fighting it every time I break it out. I'm also told they are not forgiving of less than perfect maintenance cleaning. So I'd worry about storing it for any length of time and then having it not work because it rusted or a piece of dirt got into the head. But part of me still wants one.
@ThatKiltedGuyDIY Жыл бұрын
You might be right about all that. If you don’t use it regularly, it may be better to learn the banjo
@michaelkistner6286 Жыл бұрын
@@ThatKiltedGuyDIY I tried a banjo and didn't like it. Bought a better one and still didn't like it. Got a super taper and that worked better for me. Since I've taken the plunge into boxes etc. I find it better to use my compound tube and tape (I prefill my flats with durabond so I just use mesh on them.) That just leaves the butts and I use durabond and fibafuse there. A bazooka would be a bunch faster but the jobs aren't usually big enough to justify the price. But I still think about getting one anyway. If I was younger I could grow the business to make it pay but the headaches that come with that would take over my life. I've been there and done that.

My largest jobs are 20 boards but even those are rare i simply do not want to do jobs more than 4-5 boards, I’ve always hand taped everything, never. Is it worth it for an old finisher doing only small repair and remodels?
@ThatKiltedGuyDIY Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend it for only small jobs. I did nothing but drywall repairs and small jobs like you’re talking about, for 20 years, I always rented tools whenever I needed them because it was pretty rare

Save your $ and stick with the banjo. I bought my first bazooka from tapeworm in 1984. Nothing's changed banjos don't break down bazookas have to many little parts
