Parker I hope you read this.....Love the videos it's awesome seeing your projects as they progress and not just comparison videos. When you look at other channels like five star, mark at CAF, soundman, ect. they all seem to stick to one kind of content. either only installs, complex box builds, and well you get my drift but you re all over the place and thats a compliment I promise. I heard you say that the power supply doesn't have an on/off switch and I personally found it annoying when I first got into audio and began hooking up car amplifiers in my living room but had no way to control the power on and off remotely and as lazy as it sounds it bugged me that I had to unplug my power supply after I was done listening to music and I found a way to use the usb outlet on my T.V and/or my receiver so the power supply and the amplifier would turn on with my T.V and/or receiver and when I turned off my T.V and/or receiver with the remote my power supply would turn offf and so would the car amplifier that was sitting in the entertainment center. I will leave a link to an instructable I made on it but all you need is a $10 SSR (solid state relay) THAT IS MARKED 3VDC to 120VAC this is the important part make sure the SSR had one side marked DC and the other side AC and my instructable offers the way to set it up. Hey there parker I have a question about my system if you can help figure out something
@chadjay8283 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t it just be easier to buy a better alternator then to hook up more electronics that are basically unnecessary? Just asking not trying to sound cocky but I have a 91S 10 with a small sound system but I decided to put 120 amp alternator in my truck to help prevent headlights from flickering if the amps draw too much power like I said I have a small system so the headlights don’t do that as of right now but depending on how much the pro charger cost I only spent I believe it was around 120 up to 150 for 120 amp alternator for my 91 S-10 I also run an airbag system and an under body neon light kit so I ultimately bought the bigger alternator for the airbag system alone and it’s going to help with the sound system that is being put in it right now
@dougbrook62233 жыл бұрын
I use 2, 100 amp power supplies (not tarramps)to help maintain battery power on my boat. An alternator is not viable because the engines are not running when anchored. My stereo is capable of 500+ amp draw so the batteries don't stand a chance without some support. They work very well. I had to eliminate some noise interference, but once I corrected that issue it's been great.

Its not supposed to be a substiute for an alt.
@dougbrook62233 жыл бұрын
@@maxbernard5797 yes it is. It's a power supply. That is exactly what it's suppose to be. What does an alternator do? It supplies power. RVs have had power supplies for 12 volt systems for decades. I use the 2 I have as power supplies specifically in place of a high amp alternator. Not just me. Any higher end marine audio installer will be familiar. It's the only good option. Even with a LIFP04 battery bank, which I have, you have to get power to it from somewhere. A regular battery charger is not going to come close to keeping up with 20 plus channels and 4 or more amplifiers. Trust me, I've been there and tried that.

Can you run off an inverter in a car
@cgkiller12203 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you probably checked but if anyone does go to order that adapter make sure it can handle the amperage that the ProCharger is going to draw from the wall. I could see that potentially being a weak point considering a lot of those are designed for laptops and such

Can you use that in your car to power a 3000w Amp without it interfering with your stock electrical system?

No reason why it would.. but it's pretty much just a battery charger..

I don't see this working well in a car due to needing to constantly be near an electrical outlet since it does have to be plugged up.

@@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname6128 how about a invertor?
@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname61282 жыл бұрын
@@junyabizzie umm maybe, but honestly & this is my opinion based on my experiences.. Seems like doing all that would be similar to a person who hustles backwards, right?? Just seems that it would be much easier to do things the traditional way (or more common install method), install a lithium bank & a high output alternator if needed. Then one could even utilize something like 'super caps' if stiffening of electrical is still needed during real heavy bass drops or demos. Everyone has their own suggestions of what to do & how they would do it. That's how we make progress, through trial & error.

@@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname6128 just was wondering . Cause those huge taramps trailers use only these prochargers

A standard 15A breaker cal pull 3000w. Should be fine unless other high wattage appliance's on same circuit
@cgkiller1220 Жыл бұрын
@@tylerhagen3068 I think your math is a bit off. A 15a breaker max point for peak is 1800w. They recommend constant on a 15a is no more than 1440w. I was more referring to the adapter to change from eu to us plug. The adapters themselves have ratings. I have many atx power plugs that don't handle more than 5a due to the contents in the plug. Just want to make sure people know what they are getting into before they just copy someone and think everything will be the same. Sorry to call you out. Just looking out for parker. Don't want him to take heat for someone blowing stuff up or breaking things.
