This reading helped me realize that sometimes we fail to appreciate how far we’ve come in our healing journey. We struggle and toil through all the work and then, boom, suddenly one day we think “hey, I feel lighter. How’d that happen?” Lol. The part about shedding your skin and “finding new balance in the new energy” really brought that home for me. As for joy, it’s being in nature, and also chatting and connecting with strangers. I love being near the water among the trees, the grass, the birds and wildflowers, and of course the sky with all its infinite magic. I don’t have a dog but there’s a dog park by the lake, and watching the dogs swimming and fetching balls and sticks is so awesome. (We can learn a lot from dogs!) 🫠 🐶 The other day I listened to a northern mockingbird for hours chirping away in all the languages of different bird species! Well this was needed, as of late, I've been in the unknown on a specific relationship. Mainly I feel so many emotions, I get from happy to whatever emotion wants to follow next. And for me letting the feelings come by is very hard, since I've always had a hard time being able to feel these stream of emotions. My only remedy being trying to go a more esoteric route in finding answers to where I never take a break for my body. Yet, I think it's time for me to understand that I need to think of myself more then the relationship. I can't just put my ego into thinking that everything will go good or bad, I have to be in the moment and think for myself. This person isn't going to be there to clean the mess or the emotions that come up, I will. And I shouldn't obsess how it happens or what happens. Like you've said, I should just breathe and take myself away from that situation and rest in the moment. Stillness never is to harm you, it's a wonderful gift in helping you guide or know what you need as of right now. With that being said, I need rest and a chance to let out the feelings, so that when the answer comes, I take it all in and not bundle all the feelings I've been ignoring in finding the answer. I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this. I hope anyone out there has gotten the rest and time they need to move forward. Dogs are pure joy! I often think it would be so wonderful if I had one, but it’s such an awesome responsibility, and as a teacher, I’m out of the house for so many hours, during the school year, that it just wouldn’t be fair to the dog But I totally can imagine how that is your happy place, with your baby, with a doggy❤ Kim, my dog in LA, with my mom, where my family lives, is so old and elderly, he’s about 14 years old now, and it’s the saddest thing to see him age like that. Oh my God I’m literally tearing up right now telling you about it… I was just down there for a visit recently… Anyways, I feel the same way about him. Being around family is stressful often, being down, there is often stressful, but whenever I’m with my sweet angel, old man, baby, Koko, it’s bliss, because dogs are pure love❤❤❤

Searching for the word, blanket versus sheet… I was thinking, you must be talking about summer, when it’s really warm, like right now, and that’s why you said sheets… lol 😅 but yeah, I think you did mean blanket, because that makes more sense, and you are in freaking Quebec, where it’s cold a lot, for big chunks of the year! And that sounds cozy and peaceful - 😘 you’re so adorable! So Kim, I just got the new job, different district, different school, it’s a massive blessing, I’m returning to the district I left five years ago, it’s a very challenging school district and a very challenging school, it’s the “worst“ in the entire district… It serves low income students, and there’s a lot of violence in that district… I mean a lot! Like every time there was a fight at the school where I taught for the first 11 years of my career, one students left in an ambulance and another in a police car… Many of my students, well, quite a few, from those years, have been killed, murdered in the streets, due to gun violence, -one of my students was facing deportation a couple years ago, while he was in prison, another one of my students from years ago, killed two people, and was facing the possibility of the death penalty, another one of my students from my first year teaching, who is now in his 30s, I just recently learned, recently got locked up, for a recent shooting he was involved in… I got stories for days… And of course, they’re not all like that, about violence and trauma… Those students have lit up my life, Kim! There’s so beautiful in every way, so bright and full of potential… I absolutely love that community… That area of the bay area- And I’m so thankful, Kim, to be returning to that district, and that school, (it’s a different school than the one I was at for the first 11 years of my career… But in the same district ) -because even though it’s immensely challenging, and to be honest, dangerous, it’s also where I will have the greatest impact, you know what I mean? And those students are so deserving! And they are so precious. Another one of my students from those earlier years of my teaching career came to visit me yesterday, you are gonna love this, Kim! -He told me his senior year, back in 2014, that I “changed the entire trajectory of his life”! I remember the moment in class it was doing a presentation, and we both started crying. He teared up when he said it, and I teared up as I sat in the back, listening and reading his presentation… He was in my class for both his junior and senior years, and he ended up getting a full ride football scholarship to a prestigious university, UC Davis… He enjoyed 5 1/2 years there, he just graduated in December. I’m starting to tear up again Kim! 🥲-I know you understand, because you’re just like me, in that way. But he just got a job as a football coach at the University in Idaho! He’s going to be getting paid really really well! And he was the first one in his entire family to graduate from high school! I haven’t seen him in years! But yesterday he drove all the way here from where he lives, at the university, about an hour away, just to see me before he goes, and moves to Idaho for the college coaching job… But I really actually started talking about all this, Kim , to tell you that I believe I will be teaching ELD, English language development, at the school that I’m gonna start teaching at next month… and it’s really challenging, and I feel much less equipped to teach that class than just traditional English language arts, however, I love being around students, like you who don’t speak English at their first language, there’s just so much beauty in it, and I learned so much from them… So what I hear you in the last couple readings, that you posted talking so much about your English, it brings up all these fond memories of teaching ELD for many years, and the beginning of my career… Sorry, this is so long. I love you so much, Kim!

You're really encouraging me to say something so I will! This isn't a self promo!😅 I wanted to say that my YT channel has had trouble growing to where I see it going! The engagement is so down, and it's tough because I believe in & am very passionate about the videos I create for the collective!
