The 10 seconds of a lead he was referring to was against the Bucs in week 13. Chubba had a TD rush to put us up 10-7, then Mike Evans caught a 75 yard touchdown pass from Baker on the very next play. We have not seen a lead for any amount of time since. Our only lead in the Falcons game came with 0 seconds left on the field goal.

It's funny, Tepper has made such an ass of himself at this point that it's impossible for anyone to look at any decision the Panthers makes and not wonder "was this done because of Tepper", "did Tepper force this", "was this Tepper's decision". Canales could shave his head tomorrow or drink a different brand of bottled water and people will wonder if Tepper made him do it.

I feel like the only QB in the next draft who might work for the Panthers is Cam Ward. 2026 is probably a better QB year, especially since Manning will likely be in that class. But I think draft Cam Ward, keep Dalton as the starter until Ward is actually ready to take over.... We either do that, or use Dalton as a stop gap until 2026 and address positions of need next draft.

Bryce’s game against the Packers is the most successful the passing attack has been over the last two years, not Dalton’s game last year. If anything, they’re equal even with Bryce having a higher passer rating and QBR.

All the people that comp'd Bryce with Drew Brees in the draft seem to forget that Brees was mediocre at best his first few years in the league and spent 90% of his time under center with San Diego handing off to LDT and throwing check downs. If you had asked Actual Drew Brees to be a day one franchise savior at the 1st overall pick he would have failed hard. I don't care how smart you are, nobody is smart enough to conquer NFL defenses as a rookie or 2nd year QB. Bryce had zero chance of success being a 1st overall pick, he should have spent a year or two on the bench somewhere.
