Ok I'm not gonna lie, after watching essentially every match of Schmungus I am genuinely convinced ML is a whole different beast. Like I get that everyone on the team is consistently top 500 players with incredible skill, but god damn man, dudes' mechanical skill, decision making and overall awareness goes toe to toe with literal professionals.

I mean yeah, thats one thing that gets me annoyed when people compare ML with other t500 streamers and say his Ana for example doesn't come close to any pro Ana. People who don't watch his stream don't understand but >95% of his Ranked matches always have at least two pro or former pro players, either from Contenders or former OWL. He is an exception to the normal question where people compare pros and streamers.

not nearly on the same level as professionally, but i’m a part of a high school esports team, and one of our supports plays a lot of lifeweaver. i’m a tank player, team captain and i’ve reached t500 several times on controller and keyboard over playing the game since it released. and honestly, lifeweaver isn’t horrible like others say he is. we were ranked #7 in the central US in season, and we made it to quarter finals in playoffs landing us at #5. each game he pumped out 15-20k healing with ease, and our combined W/L ratio per map/gamemode was 35/8, aswell as making sure my dumbass doom playing ass was able to get out after doing something stupid. if you play around him, he’s incredibly valuable.

​@@Cerms his burst healing is ass, but his consistent healing is kinda nuts. My issue with him is his lack of utility support. I think every other support probably provides something more valuable than LW outside of healing, like cleanse, lamp, anti-nade, damage boost, speed bost, discord orb etc. Petal platform is very situational in its usefulness, and pull doesn't provide offensive utility so much as it provides a get out of jail free card (and even then that's contingent on LW using it well instead of pulling your tank out of a good spot for no reason). I like the idea behind his character design, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired

Plus zen as a hero provides pretty distinct offensive utility via discord orb. My point is lifeweaver doesn't offer utility outside of niche circumstances, and doesn't offer burst healing, so there's very few reasons or situations to pick him over a different support

@@matthewrayner571 no at the top level mercy is worse rn, arguably I think shes the worst across the board - the dps passive ruined her (in part because she basically can't heal herself anymore) Weaver's giga healing isn't very useful at all because of how fast tanks die, but it does help a bit with downtime. The pull is really a saving grace in his kit, keeping your tank alive is really hard rn, he helps that a lot more than mercy. Mercy's pocket isn't worth the effort right now, better to burn the tank and run them over than dedicate a support for one shot picks.
