King could always wavedash just not the way mishimas do. Kings wavedash was unique and a lot harder to chain together but now he just has the normal mishima wavedash which is new to tekken 8

Nina is absolutely NOT broken lmao she is extremely easy to beat if you lab her. She has easy strings and grabs to duck/sidestep, only a couple of 50/50’s, and is a high/low character. She’s at a good place along with mostly everyone else except King

Paul buffs really wont make much difference, like f1+2 is such a slow attack and easy reactable attack and the 1 frame advantage on f2, well idk man he already has other heat engagers that can go into full combo and if i need to punish some moves i rather use b12

Bro the first character I fought in rank after the patch was a King. I literally could not move without getting hit by some sort of mix up from his wave dash. It was genuinely a “why tf did they buff this character” moment. If you are going to nerf characters like Lili because their offensive pressure was too much, then there was absolutely no reason to buff King when he already had good offensive pressure. That defeats the whole purpose of balancing the heavily offensive gameplay in Tekken 8.

Well, just so you know, King's crouch dash doesn't have a crouching status anymore. So you should be able to interrupt it.

The heat burst not killing is huge. I fought someone and we were both near death and they heat burst to stop my momentum and it would've killed. The fact it didn't allowed me to win the round, it's such a good change. All these changes remove people using heat burst as a get out of jail free card, it's just amazing.

They said this patch was the last *large-scale* balance patch (as in changing half the roster at once), not that this will be the last balance patch. I'm confident they'll still adjust characters throughout the season, just maybe two or three at a time rather than huge sweeping shake-ups.

Armor Breaking being a universal thing is cool, but I really thought that was going to be a Lidia only thing. King's *really* become the grappler 2D fighting game players wish they had, I don't know what the ever-loving fuck they were thinking with him. Makes me kind of glad that I'm still out of town currently so I don't have to deal with that nonsense. Overall, I do like this patch, though.

I don't think King is broken tbh. His crouch dash doesn't have a crouching status anymore. And he doesn't get oki off of muscle buster and f3 to 1+2 (i believe that's the input). Don't get me wrong, King is definitely still strong, top 5 still most likely. I just don't believe that he's "broken."

Good video. You're one of the few whose mentioned King. Ppl have said Feng and Drag were Tekkens best but no ones better the king. Disagree about Kazuya though, he was trash. He was C+ pre update. He was buggy, inconsistent, had poor launchers. WS 13 frame piston has zero range. No 15 frame launch. Hworangs mid launcher was not overturned. i guess all the Hworang tears paid off. Should of nerfed nina best mid launcher. Thats a head scratcher.
