I used to play this game as a kid myself. And just like Blue Sky's Jimmy neutron game I always thought it was me who was bad at games. Only to realize it wasn't me but the game itself (being a kid who actually 100% Mario sunshine when they were young. ) These are games that really need that old nostalgic glasses to help them, and even then it doesn't help much

I have a confession I used to enjoy this as a kid Edit: I forgot to mention that I played the pc port of this game and this game had 4 hub levels not 3 which the 3rd hub level was a Forest themed I dont understand why they didn't brought the 3rd hub level from pc to ps2

I think we all had those games we thought were amazing when we were younger, but later realized that they weren't actually very good.

fun fact: the box art is a lie in the ps2 version, well, the box art of the ps2 version shows mr bean on the car, a live-action mr bean, teddy on the plane and etc but other versions of the game does have just like the box art of the ps2 version.

I remember playing this game as a child. I did enjoy it but that's because I didn't have high expectations to begin with and for a simple game it was simple enough. Never completed it because as I was approaching the end of the game (or at least, I think it was the end) there was a sudden power outage, and it corrupted the save file. Never tried it again since, and now I could program a more enjoyable platformer myself so why should I ever pick it up again? Edit: I do want to say: for Blast, that's actually decent quality. At least it's not a complete eyesore to look at with a consistent art style and colourful levels. Still, not being utterly unbearable is not the same thing as enjoyable. Edit 2: though I'm deducting 'graphics points' for its inconsistent use of those cartoony black edges which causes the gap to become poorly visible at 9:09

It's probably the "best" blast game I've played, just very very dull, makes me wonder why they didn't add the mini games from the other versions in to this.

@@SpiceLordofCinder Seconded. Upon watching this I also remember what a cold shower those controls were, especially in comparison to other PS2 titles such as _Ratchet & Clank._ I also remember getting annoyed by moving platforms that were clearly meant to link together, not being synced right, and I never understood why they made it like that. Especially because, from a programming perspective, it's so easy. What frustrates me most about it is that it had good potential but was executed rather poorly. And at the end of the day, what more is it than a generic platformer but with Mr. Bean assets put in? It doesn't really use the IP at all. It's a Mr. Bean game in just name and look.

@@SpiceLordofCinder fun fact: this game is just a reskin of agent hugo: lemoon twist, the company that made this game, they only took the game, where the company had already created another hugo game called agent hugo lemoon twist, they only took the game that was already created and then became the mr bean game for ps2, nintendo ds, nintendo wii, pc.

If I had a nickel every time blast entertainment made a terrible ps2 game based off of a British originated licensed TV show I’d have two nickels which isn’t very much but it’s strange it happened twice.

It's funny that there's more effort put into reviewing this, rather than the developers put into making their game enjoyable
