There is a smoothing setting in the software interface. Turn it on and the movement will be a lot more fluid and immersive. Then you can adjust the sliders to your preferences. I hope this helps. Iv had the V2 version for a number of years now and have dialled in all my sim titles. Combined with VR and it’s as close as you can get. 😁👍🏻

spaceweed10 I originally owned the prototype v1. That used two small actuators on a hinged frame system. It proved to be unable to withstand the forces generated and subsequently failed. Pagnian imports were very understanding and offered me the new updated V2 discounting the already spent amount. So I guess iv had it since it was released. The only issue iv had is the base restarting it’s self while in race from time to time. But I think this maybe a problem with my computer. Otherwise it’s held up really well. I’d recommend one. They make such a difference especially combined with VR!

Hey Will! Thanks for the review. I know you commented on it a bit already, but the fact that the steering wheel, pedals, and shifters don't move along with the seat, that doesn't feel weird/ awkward at all? Particularly when you're in a turn, and the seat is moving one way but your arms are essentially stationary. I'm just imagining it feeling like a spaghetti car. Would love to see some tests with Assetto Corsa as well. Thanks again mate!

I recommend the sim experence 2 dof over this and the dof reality. The response is way faster and realistic on the sim experience, it's not even close. I track a 911 GT3 in real life. A 2 dof setup from sim expereince costs me about $2500 to add to my custom 8020 cockpit. The only benefit to a setup like this is space requirments.

Best thing I did when I got my motion V3 was turn all the sliders to 0 and turn them all up 1 by 1 until I worked out where the jerking motion comes from, it's all that vertical gforce gain, if you set that to around 0.3-0.5 I found I could leave all the other settings turned up enough to still feel everything nice and strong. It feels amazing though with VR

1 major issue I have with these type motion platforms (besides the 4+ grand price tag!) is the fact that they only move the seat, not the whole rig. When you corner or go over bumps in a car, the whole car moves, not just the seat. NOW, to use 1 of these with the settings turned down in tandem with the type that moves the whole rig, would be the best motion experience, the most realistic. 👍 Speaking of the high price, I'd rather put that 4+ thou towards converting my little Hyundai Excel into an Excel X3 Series Racecar & go racing fo' real, mate. ☺

building a sim isn't about making it realistic. It is about filtering out the variables that help you drive faster, and amplifying them to stand out. Having a motio seat definitely helps, even if its forces are weaker or stronger than an actual seat.

To make it truely realistic you need g force. Only way to do that is the ability to continuously rotate in every direction. Possible but extremely expensive and needs a tonne of space.

Hi, yeah i have that motion platform too, and i also turned the effects down, it almost throws you out of the seat otherwise. I was wondering if you still use the Buttkicker? Reason i ask is that the drivers for the seat i find give you the same if not better feedback through the seat than the buttkicker. I have seen some other motion sims where the pedals move with the seat. So wondering if you have that as an option. Maybe by Jerry-rigging it? But at the same time i wonder if the pedals moving as well would knock your legs about within the walls of the cockpit. Considering you have a pedal cam, maybe you wouldn't want the pedals to move, even though you may have an option. Too much to ask on a Comment, but i appreciate the reply. :)

It should be good with any sim game. Of course, if you pay 2-3k for something, it ought to work with every sim. Then again, most people that get a motion setup are not playing Project CARS 2, they are playing more high-end sim racing games, such as iRacing and rFactor 2. I plan on getting a rig, myself, and playing Need for Speed (and GT, etc.), which is also strange at £500 or more. Also, just to make clear, is this motion seat 2,000 pounds? That seems okay, but I'd want a full motion.

@vividpsychosis8222 4 жыл бұрын
Classic Gaming the game sends the data to the rig so every game is not the same. IRacing sends the most info so it feels the best. Games like need for speed don’t really calculate a lot of the info you need so it won’t be the same. It’s why f1 games aren’t as nice with this as IRacing is.

That’s just the recording. I was seeing 140+ FPS. Will need to work on that for next time. Not sure why it’s recording so choppy. Planning on building another PC to drive the Sim soon anyway so I can stream and record from this one without hogging resources. I don’t think F1 2019 is going to run well for me at 10320x1440 at max settings.

Haha. That might actually make an interesting video. Honestly though mate a lot of the gear has been provided freely or discounted and the rest is all paid for by the revenue from the channel. Hasn’t cost the family a cent. I have to buy gear to make videos so it’s sort of a self sustaining hobby right now. Hopefully in the future it will grow to pay a wage as well so I can quit my day job.

@@boostedmedia You should be good moving forward, as sim racing becomes bigger, along with sim channels, and gear becomes cheaper and more advanced, I think in 2020 or something, with any luck, your channel will be very big and you'll be fine. I sadly saw many LEGO KZbinrs that had to give it up because the LEGO cost too much, for example. As you said, it works out best when it is a self-sustaining system. As it turns out, sim racing seems to be a hobby which is only getting bigger and better as we move into the future. :)

I had that habit from daily driving, but later I learned that if you keep your hand on shifter even with small pressure, gear synchronizers get messed up in time. So i made an extension to hand brake to rest my hand on, worked great. About sim, i would suggest you to move your shifter higher and closer to your wheel, with the least distance you are comfortable, this will will speed up the transition.
