I heard that TikTok pays a lot of the people up there if they reach a specific subscriber amount? I could be wrong, but if she's a single mother and has a job that isn't providing a lot of stability, then TikTok and KZbin can go a long way to help boost up your monthly income. One of my friends is a booktuber and booktoker and she makes a fair bit of money from doing both. That said, I hope she takes this as a learning moment and never does this sort of thing again. It should have been a huge red flag that a member of a band you're fangirling about has reached out to you and wants to meet up in person. Especially since that isn't exactly professional on their end and seems like they are taking advantage of the people (in Mitch's case, women) who fan gush about him because he happens to be in a band.

He literally mentioned smoking marijuana and wrote on the screen that he never smokes, its very obvious that he is just picking words to rhyme with. Is it a loser move? Yes. Does that mean she is an angel? No. Majority of people here dislike both of them, but are pointing out the obvious bias the youtuber had and that she is not innocent at all. There in no way a grown adult doesn't know how hate bandwagons on tiktok work, then knows people are speculating he ghosted her and doesn't say anything except 1 single comment reply she showed, tagged the actual band, refused to take the video down etc. She knew what she was doing, and him making a pathetic song does not take away from the fact that she is the sole reason this started.

Yeah… depending on the workforce chain you are in, you have to request time off weeks or a month or two in advance and some awful workplaces will rescind that leave due to “emergent” situations. You will only accrue a certain amount of leave with each paycheck, which can be worth as little as minutes of an hour. Different types of leave for different activities. Sick, personal, annual, etc. If leave isn’t approved, you don’t get to take the time off. You have to make sure you use the right type too! If you don’t come in without approval, you’re at risk of losing your job.

Here’s my thing - she defends herself by saying “I said he couldn’t come and people speculated about the why”. But that’s not what she said. She said he DIDN’T come, not couldn’t, which has an entirely different meaning and different implications. It’s clear to me that from the very beginning she was probably feeling scorned (especially after she picked up extra shifts, made a whole itinerary, etc.) and decided to leverage what was actually just bad planning into an attempt to make a viral story time. The whole thing is fishy, and he definitely doesn’t deserve defending if he is giving out her personal info and made that song, but the initial video was definitely malicious.

I remember when this all blew up because it was on my fyp. Why do you keep saying its not Shelby’s fault? Its 1000% Shelby’s fault because she could have just not posted the video in the first place. And her video was identifiable and definitely posted with malicious intent. Like your take is so weird and biased. You keep going easy on her why? I actually just subbed to you because i saw this drama on tiktok when it happened. I managed to follow all of it as it unfolded and obviously noticed how my feelings about it changed with the course of the videos/ as i was getting more information. I didn’t comment on it but i formed an opinion in my head. Now i realise how easy it is to be manipulated by both keeping information away and also releasing some of the information. I really appreciated your commentary as i feel you looked at this in a very logical and composed manner, in a way where it’s easier to analise without feeling overwhelmed by the emotions it can cause one to feel. In the end i just thought they were both a bit ridiculous 😭 why turn this thing so public and also it’s just soooo weird that people feel so comfortable exposing themselves like this. But yeah thanks for the great content and deeper analysis of this tiktok behavior, just gained a new sub as I wait to see other stuff you give your logical perspective on.

Listen. She was in the wrong. She's not stupid and she knew exactly what she was doing and what she was insinuating. She knew what people would think. She even tagged them so they could find him. Let's not try to act like what she did was innocent at all. It was retaliation for a perceived wrong. They were still going to have their date. He never ditched her. Life happens. And instead of handling it like a mature adult she MALICIOUSLY posted those videos and sent him those texts to force him to do things when SHE wanted them. I'm tired of seeing people defending her like what she did was at all innocent. She isn't. It wasn't. He's the victim. He had every right and reason to respond the way he did when he was getting attacked and so were the people in his band and people were actively trying to ruin them because a girl was upset that he had to RESCHEDULE their date. Let's not pretend that her texts were jokes. They were definitely not jokes. Her "apologies" mean nothing when they come with a "but" trying to displace blame. She knew what she was doing was wrong and did nothing to actually correct it. It was an attempt to push him to do things on her schedule and could have cost him his job. She's selfish. Stop painting it like anything other than what it was.

he really had a poor planning. that's on him. he should have done this or that better. but the way she acted? are you a child? i experienced this with my ex a lot. we were on a ldr lived 13hrs away. sometimes he would text me saying he cant make it to the thing we planned. sometimes i'd do that. we would apologize and move on. none of us made a huuuuuuge deal out of it on tiktok. and we arent event in our 30s yet. edit: at the same, i agree with her getting criticism but keep the baby boy out of it man. what did the child do? stop it.
