20:14 The plants only grow during the day because the beavers only worked during the day, all the plants were planted during the day, and all of them need whole days to grow, so they end up growing in daytime. If you make the beavers work at night/ using bots to plant crops, then they can also grow during night time.
@eljulio8725
@eljulio8725 Жыл бұрын
huh ? Why plants would grow when a beaver is sitting at the door of the farm but not when he's sleeping ?
@Steveddie93
@Steveddie93 Жыл бұрын
I do not believe that is true.
@jeffreyblack666
@jeffreyblack666 Жыл бұрын
@@eljulio8725 It is more when they visibly change. Once planted, they take 3 days to grow. So if you plant them in sequence, but then stop when it reaches night and resume when it reaches day, you will see them all start to change in sequence, but then pause when night arrives. Then once day comes they continue.
@Kebab136

@@eljulio8725 What the other dude said ^. It's not about the beaver sitting there, it's about the beaver planting them in daytime. If he'd plant them at night they would complete the cycle same time x days later, at night.

Yeah I didn't know it was the same name in English as well, really interesting! Maybe it's just a "native" german crop so they just copied the name? No clue honestly. All i know is that i have a batch of them growing outside my window xD

Kohlrabi has been grown in the British isles for hundreds of years, and appears to have most commonly been called ‘German turnip’, although other vegetables are more commonly available. Use of the name kohlrabi has increased as it regained popularity as a versatile seasonal vegetable - synchronised with the increasing popularity of vegetable subscription boxes, local and community growing projects, and speciality grocers.

Having recently watched the early episodes, I'm proud of you, RCE. You've made so much progress. All that engineering knowledge and wisdom came in handy (giggity). A couple of failed settlements early on, sure, but now you've got such efficiently designed towns for all the beavers. Now you just need to get them more amenities, and they'll work so much faster. Everyone knows things happen quicker with wet beavers (giggity). And one day, when this season of Timberborners comes to a close, the next season will have settlements founded on eggplants. Timberborners: Eggplantopia. I can see it now. And it's beautiful. So efficiently designed with glorious purple fields of The Strongest Plant.

We have come far with this season, but with the update, I think it's time we give our deepest condolences to Engebry and move on to start anew with a fresh season, which I think is best for our viewers, the engineers, you, and of course, the beavers. So if you accept my resplendent request, let us embark on a new journey which we never might forget. Sincerely KingChamp

Had a thought about water management... I'm guessing evaporation is based on water surface space, and a large lake area would hydrate more farms. In the rainy season that's fine, but maybe make a few really deep but small water areas (or just lots of storage) and where you have lakes, particularly at higher elevations, pump water from your storage back into them in the dry season to keep crops watered?

I know the game is still being worked on, and am very happy to see the advancements. That being said, one thing I'd like is if there was a way to upgrade buildings to take more workers over time. I shouldn't need to build 10 science Inventors, why can't I just pay some resources to jump the workers per building up a couple? I currently have a population of 52 adults and 6 kids... with 24 of the adults being unemployed, because I don't have the resources to build shops for them to work in etc.
