Susannah Fielding doesn't get enough credit for the brief moments of panic behind the professional veneer. Wonderfully played.

It's called the mother lode, not load. It's a term taken from mining, meaning the layer of earth that contains most of the mined for mineral.
@CasperLCat5 ай бұрын
Right on, my friend. I suppose it’s useless to insist on accurate spelling and usage here on the Internet, where literacy is clearly optional, but I join you in your heroically Quixotic crusade.
@maartenvandam3445 ай бұрын
@CasperLCat I usually don't bother with spelling, but this is a semantic issue. I only found out by mistake because mother load makes so much sense. It makes sense to us because we remember 'the mother of all battles', Saddam Hussein's name for the first Gulf War. But it wouldn't make sense to miner 49er, who would have known what a mother lode was. He just didn't know where it was.

Steve plays partridge differently now. Coogan use to play alan as being totally oblivious to how he came across. Now he plays him with facial mannerisms that tells the audience he knows what he is saying is redicilous. Just doesn't work played this way imo.
