At least for country side, we need the Hyundai Inster Cross , the AWD and better ground clearance for off road version of the same car, but that would mean basically no extra boot space aside from a sliver where you put just the charging accessories, because the back electric motor has to go somewhere. with 15%-30% better ground clearance, AWD wit an extra back motor that is active at low speed, up to 33 mph(53 km/h) for off-road control, then after that it disconnects the electronic clutch leaving the back free and engaging back at 31mph(50 km/h)... For winter and mud control ... Next gen should also include the in line 4 engine generator for an extended range EV (hybrid but the engine only creates electric power for winter and longer distances) , like Edison motors and the Scout Motors Traveler.
@Narinjas

P.S. Casper is the name , but because TradeMark they renamed it inster instead... I bet people would buy and re-sell Casper EV badge so you can rename it after you buy it.

Yes the 'Casper' name is not used outside of Korea. I don't know if the popular idea that copyright laws prevent it from being used is correct. 'Casper' is not just the name of a friendly cartoon ghost. It's also an actual word with meaning. It means 'treasurer' in Aramaic and comes from the word Gizbar which is ancient Chaldean. The Chaldeans were a Mesopotamian civilisation that ruled Babylon from the 9th to the 6th Century BCE. Therefore the word has been around a lot longer than the cartoon and as part of a language I doubt it can be copyrighted. Who would own the copyright on a word that is a 2,925 year-old relic of a dead civilisation?

Hold your horses there. This is competing with the Citroen e C3, Fiat grande Panda, Renault 5, the VW ID2 and whatever the cheaper Skoda will be called. It’s going to be a very busy market in a couple of years. In my view, this is more practical than the others but the R5 and Panda have it beat on style.

This quickly became my dream car. If only they could offer the option of the bed, blackout curtains. And projector screen and projector, some kind of extra cushy seat covers for the back seats, and folding trays for having over your legs for eating/snacking. Then it could be a bedroom/power nap room on wheels, as well as a living-room. And with stable enough trays, you could also use them as desks for laptops, and use it as a mobile office as well. All in a tiny space. It would not be a camper van, or even close, but still. I think the looks are charming as well. I find the Ignis and C3 picasso charming as well. So it is a car in my taste. Sure I dream of cool sports cars, nice looking cabs as well, but right now, this is the car I actually wish I had.

It really is telling that a car review channel simply doing good quality, informative reviews of basic cars is massive. Yes, KZbin is different to normal TV and this channel is also built on the crazy stuff but the fact that you can hit 200k views in 7 hours for a tiny little EV really says a lot. (though I'll concede this is a particularly interesting little car)

Really like how they give you the choice to prioritise rear seat space over load capacity, amazed that more manufacturers don't do this. Sometimes you just need to carry a car full of people with nothing in the boot and to be able to create more space for the folks in the back is a great idea. Bet Taxi drivers would like cars with this type of flexibility too.

I haven't been excited about a small car since the 500 and now 500e, but they are way overpriced for what they are. I grew up owning VW Beetles in the 60'S and 70's this Inster would feel like home to me. Thanks for a great review !

Finally a manufacturer that is listening to what people want, a simple basic car that will get you from A to B without all the electric bs and it has physical controls for everything. The only problem is that it is an ev. They need to put a small 1L or 1.2L petrol or diesel engine in this, and it will sell like got cakes. Having said that, a small cheap ev like this could make for a good city car. Because regardless of ev or engine no one is going to go long distance in this little car. Evs normally have crap styling, but this actually doesn't look too bad. It is not the sort of car I would go for, I have a Land Cruiser, Jimny and a BMW road car so doesn't appeal to me in that sense, but I think a lot of people into regular cars will buy this. Other manufacturers need to stop producing cars with all this stupid automated touch control everything crap and go back to basics. Modern retro is the way to go. No one needs lane keep assist or auto braking, etc. If people need or want them systems then they obviously can not drive and should not be on the road.
